EKTA, together with Gurdwara Sahib Tatt Khalsa, proudly celebrated Mother’s Day and the Senior Citizens’ Hi-Tea on Sunday, 3rd May 2026, at the Wisma Tatt Khalsa Hall. The evening was filled with joy, laughter, entertainment, and vibrant activities throughtout.
EKTA President, Datin Kuldip Kaur, presented special awards honouring three remarkable ladies from the Sikh community:
🌸 Mrs. J, for embodying a spirit that blends strength, grace, and individuality.
🌸 Madam Darshan Kaur, whose lifelong passion has been to ensure that everyone who crossed her path was blessed with the best meals through Langgar sewa.
🌸 Madam Bhajan Kaur, fondly known as the “Iron Lady”, at 94 years young, she has dedicated over 40 years of invaluable sewa to Gurdwara Sahib Tatt Khalsa events and the Naujawan Sabha.
The event also beautifully showcased our Punjabi culture through an exciting Boliyan competition, where participants displayed incredible talent, making it a difficult task for the judges to select the top three winners. A special highlight was the “Best Dressed” fashion show for ladies aged 70 years and above, celebrating elegance, confidence, and timeless beauty.
Madam Jagdish Kaur, Head of Welfare of EKTA, shared that although both Gurdwara Sahib Tatt Khalsa and EKTA had initially allocated 350 seats, the overwhelming response saw nearly 400 attendees filling the hall! Guests enjoyed a sumptuous hi-tea, door gifts, single-stalk roses, lucky draw prizes, and a memorable afternoon filled with warmth and appreciation.
We hope all the ladies had a wonderful time and left with beautiful memories, gifts and smiles to cherish. 💖
