An act of compassion reminded us why we do this work — and it’s only January.

Gender-based violence often goes unreported. Many suffer in silence. *Hafiza chose to be a light to someone she barely knew, simply because “kami sama orang.”

She reminded us early in the year why we do what we do: because people matter.

As we enter our sixth year, we have exciting plans ahead. What remains unchanged is our commitment to be a safe place — where people from all walks of life can receive quality healthcare.

Because people matter. And because health matters to everyone, everywhere.

Meet Aunty Kathleen, donor turned volunteer—she has been giving free lactation therapy to mothers who struggle with clogged ducts and latching positions since 2024.

She is passionate about helping mothers give their child the best nutrition from day one: breastmilk.

Thanks to her support, 16 mothers were relieved of pain, swelling, and are coping well in their breastfeeding journey.

Even after resettling in the United States, *Kyi still remembers the kindness of the doctors who treated her kids with such care and diligence.

*Kyi was one of the first few mothers under The First 1,000 Days Project. She contracted Covid-19 towards the end of her pregnancy and was very anxious about her baby's health. Our team guided her through the necessary care and assured her throughout the process.

After birth, *Kyi's daughter kept falling sick and with each visit, our team was able to give timely care for baby *Alice. She also completed all her required vaccinations before relocating.

We still keep in touch with *Kyi, getting updates from time to time about their new life in the States. We're glad to have been part of their health journey as a family. Join us in building healthier family units!

Meet *Cing. She found refuge in Malaysia over 5 years ago after fleeing her war-torn country. When she first arrived, she and her husband had to rebuild their lives. Everyday was a gamble.

After conceiving, *Cing was met with costly and unfair treatment. That's when a friend recommended her to go to Autrui Clinic. She was enrolled under The First 1,000 Days Project and has fully completed her antenatal care.

Now, she carries her healthy baby boy who is currently receiving his vaccinations with us.

Seeing *Cing hold her baby is a testament that good things take time. While does not have a quick ROI, we chose this path because we believe in investing in the early years--setting the right foundation for a child to build on their health in the future.

*Lisa's mother came to the clinic in her third trimester which was less than ideal but with , she was able to receive all the necessary care instead of being rejected and left to wonder if her baby is doing alright.

Today, Lisa has completed all her scheduled vaccinations and a better start in life thanks to the generosity of our partners!
