MRPMA had a fruitful engagement with YB Tuan Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), discussing industry challenges and opportunities in automation, technology, R&D and market expansion.

We also shared our vision for IRICE 2027 and its role in opening more international opportunities for Malaysian rubber product companies.

A productive day of engagement yesterday as MRPMA paid a courtesy visit to MATRADE's Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Abu Bakar Yusof, and his team.

The visit marked an important step in introducing MRPMA and IRICE 2027, where we shared our aspirations for the event and explored opportunities for collaboration. We also sought MATRADE's support in positioning IRICE 2027 as a leading international event for the rubber products industry.

Following the successful conclusion of the MRPMA Rubber Industry Conference (MRIC) 2026 and the MRPMA 74th Annual Dinner, we gathered for an evening of appreciation to celebrate the collective efforts that made these events a success.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all our organising committee, partners, and generous sponsors for their invaluable support and contributions. Your commitment played a key role in making both events a memorable success.

The evening also honoured Dr. Mok on her retirement after 34 years of dedicated service with the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB). We wish her a happy and fulfilling retirement.

We also paid tribute to Mr. Kong for his vision and dedication in building and supporting IRICE over the years. His invaluable contributions have helped shape IRICE into the successful international platform it is today.

MRPMA was pleased to host an industry engagement meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK), the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB), the Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC), and Continental Tyre Malaysia & Continental Singapore Regional Office today at the MRPMA Office, Kota Damansara.

The meeting provided a valuable platform to exchange industry insights, strengthen collaboration across the rubber value chain, and discuss current challenges and future opportunities for Malaysia's natural rubber, rubber products, and tyre manufacturing sectors.
