青运早期多数在中马及北马一带活动, 对柔佛州的青年男女而言, 青运是个陌生的名字。在一九八一年初, 青运总会有意将活动推展到柔佛州来,因此当时青运中央组织主任许金瑞同志便南下新山与青年领袖楊斯欽联络, 杨同志邀请了陈帝江、张修铭、张诗登等数位青年积极分子与许金瑞同志见面, 洽商有关在柔佛州成立青运事宜。
洽商成功, 柔佛州分会筹委会终于在一九八一年月十七日於新山大马花园宣告成立。接着, 古来及新古来也在翌日相续成立了支会筹委会。州分会筹
委会成立之后, 便积极去推动各地成立支会筹委会。州筹委会主席楊斯欽同志更亲自到麻坡、文律、振林山、新山市区等地去会见当地的青年男女, 商谈筹组青运支会。杨同志的努力得到各地青年男女的大力支持,因此在元月二十一日顺利地在上述四个地方成立了支会筹委会。稍后在元月二十五日的中央执行理事会议中通过, 批准了上述的七个支会和州分会的成立。接着, 在三月十日, 社团注册局也发下注册批准予这八个青年组织。上述七个支会可以说在推动及组织柔佛州青运方面做出了巨大的贡献。
为了壮大柔佛州的青运组织、楊斯欽同志及几位州筹委便日夜奔波, 到各地各县去协助当地青年成立青运支会, 在短短的一个半月内, 便先后在柔佛州各县成立了二十三个支会, 会员人数至一千零四十九人。

马来西亚青年运动（简称青运）柔佛州分会成立于一九八一年，从成立之初落脚于新山市区，几度搬迁，于六年前在皇后花园设立了活动中心。虽然二十七年来无固定之会所，青运柔佛州分会仍然秉持着青运宗旨“教育青年，服务社会”不间断的推动各项对青年有益的活动。
青运柔佛州分会过去所推展或举办过的各领域活动如下：
(1) 1991年开始举办全柔干部训练工作，为组织栽培干部及培训社会及国家领袖。
(2) 1993年开始开办口才训练班，为柔佛州最早推动口才训练工作的社团之一，为华青提供一个训练口才的平台，13年来培训了许多讲师。
(3) 不间断的举办及推动关怀社会的工作，如探访老人院及儿童收留中心、爱滋病醒觉运动、捐血运动、反攫夺及防范罪案醒觉运动等，提升青年对社会的关爱。
(4) 配合青年体育部及国外青年组织，进行交流。如亚洲船计划、东南亚青年交流计划、国际青年交流计划等等。
(5) 不定期举办讲座会，邀请学有专长的人士主讲相关的课题，如创业讲座、知识产权、财务规划讲座等，让青年对有关课题加强认识与了解。
(6) 2008，荣获全国广招会员比赛季军。
(7) 2012，林建顺同志代表青运柔佛州荣获“柔佛州最佳华裔青年奖”。
(8) 2013，荣获苏丹阿米娜中央医院表扬“最佳活跃承办单位”。
(9) 2013，荣获＂柔佛州最佳青年安慰奖＂,＂柔佛州最佳华裔青年安慰奖＂与及＂柔佛州最佳组织安慰奖＂
(10) 2013，青运柔佛再也支会荣获＂全国杰出支会＂
(11) 2014，再次荣获＂柔佛州最佳青年安慰奖＂
(12) 2015，荣获＂新山县最佳男青年奖＂，与及＂新山县最佳华裔青年奖＂
作为一个青年组织，青运的活动都以“教育青年，服务社会”为重点。为了更有效发挥组织的功能，提升青年对社会工作的参与。
Young Malaysians Movement (YMM hereafter) for the state of Johor was established since 1981 for 33 years. At the beginning stage, the activity centre is located in JB town area, but later had been shifted for few times before settling down in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah in year 2000. Even though YMM Johor has been no fixed activity centre for 25 years, YMM still holds its mission statement “ To educate the youths and service for the society” firmly and continuously promoting various activities for the benefit of the youths as a whole. The following activities which were held and involved by the YMM in the past are as follows:-
1. In 1991, a training class on leadership was held to train and bring up leaders in the organization.
2. In 1993, launched a Public Speaking Circle and it has trained many lecturers in conducting public speaking classes. YMM very own Public Speaking Circle is a stage to create leaders that can voice out their views expressively.
3. Continuously undergo and promote the activities that are caring to the society, for example visit old folks homes, spastic centre, orphanage, community welfare centres etc. to improve the accountability of love and care among the youths.
4. To co-operate with the Ministry of Sports and Youths, to undergo various activities including interactions with the youths’ delegates.
5. Hold seminars, invite professionals to give speeches and talks in certain issues in order to emphasise the issues to the youths.
6. In 2008, awarded the National Recruiting Members as Second Runner-up by YMM National.
7. In 2012, awarded in the state of Johore. "The Best Chinese Youth Award"
8. In 2013, awarded in The Best Active Units of Blood Donation Campaign by Hospital Sultanah Aminah. As a youth organisation, the activities of YMM are mainly on “Educate the youth and service for the society”. To function this mission statement effectively and to increase the youths’ participation.
