Wishing all our Sabahan and Sarawakian friends a belated Gawai Dayak and Pesta Kaamatan!❤️

Indeed we have rich and diverse cultures that can become such a blessing to all Malaysians. Living in Malaysia, especially Sarawak with its vibrant mix of ethnicities and religions has taught us to respect, embrace, appreciate one another and celebrate the differences that make our society so unique and harmonious.😇

A day well spent!
💪💪💪

Today DfC staff and committee came together to learn about Child Protection.

We were very privileged to be trained by Mr Charlly ak Simon, a Legal Practitioner who was the
Former Research Officer of ATHAM under Human Rights Commission of Malaysia and is the Chartered Member for Chartered Institute of Educational Assessor, UK and also Mr Samron Dorai, an HRD Certified Trainer who is into child advocacy, training us to look for early symptom recognition to protect our children with special needs.

As DfC continues to grow in our role and reach out to more people to create awareness and be the voice of the children, we see the need for all of us to undergo trainings from time to time to support the staff and children.

The road ahead is not going to be less challenging, but we are doing our best to give each child the best chance possible in life.❤️

Have you thanked your teachers today? 💕

Just as our Vice Chairman, Mr Woung shared, a teacher's impact can last for the rest of our lives. A teacher's quiet pat on the shoulder, telling us not to give up; or a teacher's gentle encouraging smile for us across the room when we are nervous - these are the moments that warm our hearts and keep us going, knowing that at that moment we matter.

A teacher is not only found in the classrooms. They can be in the work place, within your families, or anywhere you go. They are the people who guide you, encourage you, correct you and inspire to be bigger than yourselves.

To all our teachers: keep going, keep striving, keep learning and keep your eyes on the prize ahead. For even though we may not transform every child, a child transformed is worth the effort - for the future is changed, one child at a time🌷

It's that month of the year. 💕

It is the month when we are reminded to pause and reflect on some of life's greatest gifts - mothers who brought us into the world and nurture us, nurses who care for us with compassion, and teachers who guide and inspire us.💝

Together, they leave their own meaningful mark on the world through their presence.

Today, we pay a special tribute to our teachers who dedicate themselves to guiding and inspiring future generations , and whose wisdom and commitment leave an enduring impact on each student they teach.🌱

We see you.
We thank you.
We celebrate you.

Young children absorb everything we say about them. 🧠

Children will become what they believe they hear about themselves. Our words carry so much power in shaping who they are and their future. 🌱

So, let us start now. Let us start telling them how smart, kind and beautiful they are. Let us tell them how proud they make us feel and what a blessing they are to us.🩷

Let us be the reason the world will become a better place for all because of what our children believe about themselves 🙏
