We were honored to welcome HANDS Percussion Malaysia and Action Jijin Foundation to MSF on separate days for two meaningful visits.

During these sessions, we had enriching discussions on tax-exempt matters as well as the United for Good network initiatives. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange insights, strengthen connections, and explore ways to collaborate for greater community impact, culture, and wellbeing.

We truly appreciate the openness and shared commitment from both organisations, and we look forward to future collaborations to make a positive difference together.

Congratulations to students from Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia! The team is granted the full amount of RM10,000 approved by the Projects for Happiness 2.0 judging panel, enabling them to implement Senyum Dari Perut (SeDaP) and raising awareness about the vital connection between gut health, emotional and overall well-being specifically within the indigenous community.

🌟 Support Our Student Changemakers! 🌟

After a rigorous selection process, 21 university student teams have been awarded conditional grants under Projects for Happiness 2.0 to bring their social impact ideas to life.

Only teams that successfully reach their fundraising goals will be eligible to receive the grant amount approved by our judging panel and proceed with project implementation.

The student-led initiatives under Projects for Happiness 2.0 tackle critical community needs by providing preventive healthcare and oral screenings to marginalised indigenous and minority groups, and offering companionship to isolated seniors. They also focus on preserving fading cultural heritages using AI tools and implementing emergency flood resilience assets for high-risk rural villages.

Congratulations to SeniBujam Project from UPSI for successfully achieving their crowdfunding target of RM1,000! 🎉

With the crowdfunding goal achieved, the team is now eligible to receive the RM5,000 grant approved by the Projects for Happiness 2.0 judging panel, enabling them to implement SeniBujam: Reviving Traditional Craft Heritage Among Youth in Negeri Sembilan, in perserving traditional Bujam craft heritage through hands-on community learning activities.

Projects for Happiness 2.0 at Raffles University

We have successfully completed our 4th judging session at Raffles University! A heartfelt thank you to the university for the warm hospitality and support in hosting the session.

10 student teams presented their inspiring community project proposals, and 8 teams were awarded grants to bring their ideas into action.

We are truly encouraged by the passion, creativity, and compassion shown by these young changemakers in creating meaningful impact for the community. Congratulations to all participating teams, and thank you to our judges, partners, and supporters for making this journey possible! 🙏

Happiness, it seems, is best experienced in person.

Raffles University was honoured to host the Projects for Happiness 2.0 pitching session organised by My Starfish Foundation, welcoming ten student teams from five Malaysian universities to our campus, including UiTM, IMU, UTHM, and UTM.

Throughout the session, students presented community-driven initiatives that reflected both creativity and compassion. From improving community livelihoods to advocating mental wellbeing and celebrating arts and culture, the ideas shared were thoughtful, purposeful, and grounded in genuine human connection.

What made the experience especially meaningful was witnessing young people speak about kindness, empathy, and social change with such conviction and clarity. It served as a timely reminder of the role universities can play in shaping not only capable graduates, but also socially conscious individuals who are willing to contribute back to the community.

Congratulations to all the winning teams. The grants may mark the beginning of the journey, but the impact of these ideas has already begun.
