LLSB was pleased to be part of XPDC Sg Chiling 2026 which was held on 21 September 2026 at Sungai Chiling, Kuala Kubu Bharu.

The programme was graced by Y.B. Dato’ Ir. Izham bin Hashim, EXCO for Infrastructure & Agriculture and brought together representatives from Pejabat YB Dato’ Exco, Jabatan Perikanan Negeri Selangor, Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Selangor, UPEN, Infrasel Sdn Bhd and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

As part of the programme, participants took part in a fish release activity at Sungai Chiling in support of efforts to preserve the river’s aquatic ecosystem and biodiversity. The adventure continued with a jungle trek towards the Sungai Chiling waterfall, where we experienced the river and its natural environment up close.

Beyond the adventure, the experience was a reminder of the importance of keeping our rivers and forests healthy. Protecting these natural ecosystems means preserving the habitats and biodiversity that make places like Sungai Chiling so special.

Happy World Rivers Day 2026! Today, we reflect on the vital role rivers play in sustaining our environment, communities and livelihoods.

Rivers are essential to our everyday lives and the environment because it:
🌱 Support biodiversity and diverse ecosystems
💧 Sustain vital water resources
🌳 Connect forests, wetlands and surrounding habitats
🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 Support communities and livelihoods
🌊 Contribute to natural water management and flood mitigation

Through the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG) projects, LLSB continues to support initiatives that promote river stewardship, environmental awareness and the sustainable management of the Klang River.

When we protect our forests, we safeguard our rivers. When we protect our rivers, we preserve our water. And when we protect our water, we sustain life.

On 22 September 2026, LLSB joined hands with Hikers Climber Adventure Teams, MRL, CCCS9 and the local community for a Riverbank Cleanup & Facility Enhancement Programme at Pengkalan Nelayan Kampung Delek, Klang.

The programme brought together 80 participants who worked together to clean the surrounding riverbank area while enhancing the local community facility through improvement works at the surau.

The programme began with opening remarks from representatives of MRL, CCCS9 and the Ketua Kampung Delek, followed by a safety briefing conducted by the Hikers Climber Adventure Team to ensure that all activities were carried out safely.

Beyond cleaning the area, the programme reflects the importance of collaboration between organisations and communities in caring for our rivers to create a cleaner environment for everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved for contributing their time and effort towards this meaningful initiative.

LLSB was honoured to be part of the 29th ASEAN Senior Officials Forestry (ASOF) Meeting 2026, organised by the Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Selangor (JPNS) at Mangrove Point, Port Klang.

The programme brought together delegates and forestry officials to gain a closer understanding of forest management, conservation initiatives and sustainable forestry practices in Selangor. It commenced with an opening speech by YBrs. Tuan Azhar bin Ahmad, Pengarah JPNS.

As part of the programme, LLSB had the opportunity to share insights on our mangrove conservation initiatives under the Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG) project. The session highlighted the importance of protecting mangrove ecosystems as part of our ongoing efforts towards environmental sustainability and ecosystem restoration.

The event also featured a senamrobik session and the planting of 100 mangrove seedlings to promote collective action towards the conservation of mangrove ecosystems.

LLSB remains committed to support meaningful environmental initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable future for Selangor.

Congratulations to Muhammad Azaruddin Mat for securing the GOLD MEDAL with an impressive score of 314 points, setting a new SUKMA Record in the Recurve category!

Another incredible achievement by Muhammad Aizat Zaini, who clinched the GOLD MEDAL with a score of 354 points, setting a new SUKMA Record in the Compound category!
