Last night, the Rotary Club of Setia Alam was honoured to host Mr. Gunaseelan from Bio Terra Solutions Sdn Bhd for an inspiring talk titled “From Waste to Worth: Rethinking Everyday Habits,” held in conjunction with Rotary Environmental Month.

He was accompanied by Ms. Mala Davi, representing Suara Minda, an NGO dedicated to raising awareness and destigmatising conversations around mental health in Malaysia.

It was an engaging and insightful session, highlighting the importance of waste segregation starting from our homes, as well as current methods and initiatives being implemented across Malaysia to curb water pollution.

The evening concluded with Rtn Ariventhar, President-Elect, presenting tokens of appreciation to Mr. Gunaseelan and our fellow Rotarian, Mr. Eric Yap from the Rotary Club of Port Klang.

Our speaker Guna is the Head of Business Development at Bio Terra Solutions, with over 8 years of experience driving initiatives in waste management, urban farming, and community building. He works closely with local councils, government agencies, and communities to reduce food waste and promote sustainable living in Malaysia.

President-Elect Rtn Ariventhar proudly attended the Rotary District 3300 District Interact Conference held at Asia Camp, Semenyih, in support of the Rotary Club of Klang.

From 3rd to 5th April, the event was a great success, filled with vibrant, inspired young leaders who actively participated in engaging and meaningful sessions throughout the conference.

A heartfelt thank you to RC Klang for the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality, and congratulations on organizing such a successful District Interact Conference!

Yesterday, the Rotary Club of Setia Alam was honored to host DGE Rajj Melambaran at our club meeting. We were also delighted to welcome two new Rotarians into the Setia Alam family, with their induction conducted in the presence of DGE Rajj.

A heartfelt thank you to all members, Rtn. Devika, IAG Nagen and guests who joined us. The meeting included updates on our club projects and current status, discussions on DLA participation, and a warm invitation extended to our newest members to be part of our ongoing service journey.

Today marks a proud milestone as we officially chartered the Interact Club of REAL Schools Shah Alam 🎉

Grateful to Rotary International for the swift approval and continuous support in empowering youth leadership. Special thanks to President Elect Ariventhar for delivering an engaging introduction to Interact, inspiring the students to take their first steps into service and leadership.

We wrapped up the ceremony with the presentation of the Certificate of Organization to Senior Assistant of Co-Curriculum, Cikgu Joe, whose unwavering support made this initiative possible.

Here’s to building a new generation of changemakers, the journey to inspiring young leaders through Rotary begins now 🚀

Last Sunday, our Rotarians visited the Rotary Peace Park in Bestari Jaya with hearts full of purpose. Despite its run-down condition, they cleared dry leaves, trimmed the grass edges, and repaired damaged notice boards, a small step towards restoring the Peace Park to its former glory. 🌿✨

Our club is proud to share that our President-Elect represented us at the President-Elect Boot Camp held on 7–8 February at Novotel Taiping.

Beyond Group 16, it was truly inspiring to connect with leaders from across District 3300. From impactful training modules to meaningful fellowship sessions, the entire programme was thoughtfully and professionally executed.
