【介绍 | Introduction】
耕心堂是一项施棺的慈善项目，与葬仪社联系并配合布施工作，施予棺木、骨灰坛捐赠以及葬礼服务来帮助贫困无助和举目无亲的往生者。耕心慈善协会于2013年成立了「耕心堂」延续我们华人传统文化 - 施棺，以让那些孤独终老或赤贫单位得以依礼殓葬，始得善终，体现慎终追远的精神。

施棺文化或许可以被理解为鲜为人知的一种善举，在当今社会渐渐地受到大众人士的关注。施棺殓葬是一项大功德，这一份善心的成全主要的目的是让那些往生者保留最后的尊严，走完最后一段通向极乐世界旅

程。

这项慈善项目主要帮助的受惠人士包括：
1）举目无亲的往生者，例如：外籍人士和医院无人认领的往生者。
2）无法负荷葬礼费的贫穷家属。
3) 老人院孤寂或无伴的长老。

Geng Xin Tang (Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih Semadi) is a coffin donation program that works with bereavement care providers to provide free coffin/urns and funeral services to the poor, underprivileged, or deceased with no family. Established by Great Heart Charity Association in 2013, it was registered as a non-profit organisation in 2016 under the name of Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih Semadi (PPM-006-10-10022016). This program aims to extend the traditional Chinese culture - coffin donation, to accord unfortunates with a basic coffin and a proper funeral. The coffin burial is believed to be a great merit and serve to keep the last dignity of the deceased. Unclaimed bodies from the hospital, left unclaimed for months or years.
2. Members of underprivileged families, where families are unable to afford funeral cost.
3. The elderly from old folks’ homes who do not have family members.
