YB Dato' Ramanan is a highly driven and dedicated Member of Parliament for Sungai Buloh and Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (Mitra) Special Committee Chairman. He is also member of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) as Timbalan Ketua Penerangan I that brings the experience and competencies related to governmental, political, social welfare and socioeconomics. Born into a family history of

political activism which dates back to pre-independence, his grandmother Tan Sri Dr Devaki was the first woman to be elected to public office in Malaysia when she won a seat on the Municipal Council in Kuala Lumpur in 1952. Taking from his early exposure to leadership, YB Dato' Ramanan has a dedicated passion to contributing back to the well being of society and community. This is expressed through various social and welfare programmes, with the mantra being that the less fortunate should always be cared for and not left behind. YB Dato' Ramanan’s professional career successes stems from being an overseas trained engineer, which in turn led to numerous successful business ventures. After years of accomplishments, he has now turned focus onto devoting time, resources and efforts to addressing much needed changes in the national agenda. The calling to defend the rights of every marginalised community in this country fits a man trained with a practical problem-solving approach. YB Dato' Ramanan’s multiracial viewpoint and mastery of different languages including Chinese, is invaluable towards building bridges and narrowing the difference between the communities. There is the much needed need to reinvigorate our country’s political and economic agenda for the next generation of Malaysians to thrive and prosper without prejudice. YB Dato' Ramanan is now focused on the agenda for Youths of Tomorrow, which is to empower them and give them a bigger voice in society. New innovative policies and initiatives should be brought to the national platform, if the country intends to compete and prosper in a rapidly changing global environment. The next generations of Malaysians should be held in high esteem and be properly equipped in economic and social well being regardless of race, religion and status. Malaysia should once again regain its pride amongst its peers.
