【1502A Recommends｜BARDO《中陰身》】

1502A has always been interested in how local craft, ritual, belief and community memory continue to live in today’s creative scene.

This weekend, we would like to recommend BARDO《中陰身》at Kongsi KL — an immersive music-theatre ritual combining live rock music, physical performance, Chinese funeral ritual, fire and traditional paper effigy craft.

It is not a typical music gig or theatre performance. BARDO brings themes of death, farewell, spirit, release and rebirth into a raw and powerful live experience.

For us, it also reminds us that paper effigy is not only a funeral object, but a living folk craft and cultural language.

If you are interested in live music, theatre, ritual, craft or experimental performance, this is something worth experiencing.

尤其星期日最后一场，演出结束后将进行大型大士爷纸偶焚烧仪式，是整场作品真正完成的时刻。

1502A 一直关心地方手艺、民间信仰、仪式与社区记忆如何在今天继续被看见。

这个周末，我们想推荐大家到KongsiKL看一场很不一样的沉浸式演出——《中陰身 BARDO》。

它不是一般音乐会，也不是传统戏剧，而是一场结合现场摇滚、身体表演、华人丧礼仪式、火与纸扎工艺的现场作品。

作品把死亡、告别、灵魂、释放与重生这些课题，带进一个强烈而真实的现场。对我们来说，它也让人重新看见：纸扎不只是传统丧礼用品，也是一种仍然活着的民间工艺与文化语言。
