*IKRAM Muda at the International Interfaith Peace Conference (IIPC 2026) 7th August 2026 - Youth Dialogue in Melaka*
โAI may connect our devices, but only values can connect our hearts.โ
Speaking at the IIPC 2026 Youth Forum, Chief of IKRAM Muda, Abdullah Zubayr bin Mohd Aizaini, addressed the topic โYouth as Ambassadors of Peace: Strengthening Interfaith Dialogue in the Digital Ageโ.
There is a defining paradox of our era: 98% of Malaysian youth have access to the internet, and 64% are already utilizing AI tools in their daily lives. We are nurturing the generation whose worldview is continuously curated by algorithms.
Yet, here lies the critical challenge of our time: Algorithms are engineered to optimize for clicks, watch time, and engagement. Because outrage and controversy generate traffic, digital ecosystems naturally amplify what divides us. But what does human society truly need? Wisdom, truth, empathy, and peace.
At IKRAM Muda, we firmly believe that young people are not merely "future" peacebuilders but they are todayโs peacebuilders. Grounded in the principle of Li-taโarafu (getting to know one another, Surah Al-Hujurat: 13), our role as digital citizens is to actively bridge divides rather than retreat into algorithmic echo chambers.
Before posting anything we invite every young leader to pause and ask a simple reflective question:
"What would the Prophet s.a.w tweet today?"
"Does this post build trust across communities, or fuel division?"
Let us transform our devices from tools of distraction into instruments of mercy, justice, and social impact.
