Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is a research-active universities, and has been recognized as a Research University in Malaysia. Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) established in 1976 is the oldest faculty in UPM, and well-known in the field of food science and technology in Malaysia. FSTM IFRC has decided to organize in 2017 with the theme "Emerging Challenges in Food Research" as an i

nternational event that will introduce the Faculty and the University within and outside the country. IFRC 2017 will include a presentation of research results, discussions in plenary sessions, poster sessions, and panel discussions related to the field of food research. Plenary sessions and panel discussions will be accompanied by well-known experts from abroad and developing countries including Malaysia. IFRC 2017 will provide an opportunity for meeting and sharing experiences among academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, local and international policy makers who are involved directly or indirectly in the field of food research.
