Today, we celebrate your patience, your sacrifices, your endless capacity to love even when you are exhausted.

At Furrykids Safehaven, we witness motherhood in so many forms every single day.
From mothers nursing their own pups… to those who adopt orphaned babies as their own.
Love truly knows no boundaries.

Her name is Marshmallow. 🤍🐾

When we rescued her, she was heavily pregnant.

Weak. Exhausted. Fragile.

We rushed her to the vet hoping to save both her and her babies… but fate had other plans. Marshmallow lost every single one of her pups.

No cries.
No tiny paws searching for milk.
Just silence.

Around the same time, tragedy struck elsewhere.

A mother dog had been hit by a car, leaving behind 8 orphaned newborn pups who were desperately crying for warmth, milk and comfort. They had lost everything in an instant.

And somehow… two broken stories found each other.

We brought the orphaned babies to Marshmallow, unsure of what would happen. She had just lost her own litter. Her heart must have been aching in ways we could never explain.

But the moment the puppies were placed beside her… something extraordinary happened.

The tiny pups crawled towards her, searching for a mother… and Marshmallow accepted every single one of them as her own.

No hesitation.
No confusion.
No rejection.

Just love.

She nursed them. Cleaned them. Slept beside them. Protected them. She became the mother they desperately needed… even while grieving the babies she never got to raise herself.

And honestly… if that isn’t motherhood, we don’t know what is.

Marshmallow reminded us that love does not need blood to exist. Love does not care about boundaries, biology or loss. Sometimes, the purest form of motherhood is simply choosing to love another soul as your own.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate mothers like Marshmallow — the silent heroes who teach us that love will always find a way. ❤️

“This dog’s name is Wang Wang.
He is a very good guard dog.
He is to be gifted to someone of destiny and fate.
Please adopt him. Thank you.”

That was the note.
Written in traditional Chinese on a pole that Wang Wang was tied to.
Simple words… but heavy with emotion.

We rescued Wang Wang 2 weeks ago.
Alone. Waiting. Trusting.

We don’t know the full story… but we can feel it.
The handwriting, the choice of words — it tells us this wasn’t abandonment out of cruelty. It feels like someone older… someone who loved him deeply… but had no choice left.

Imagine loving your dog so much…
But believing the only way to give him a better life…
Is to leave him to fate.

Wang Wang didn’t bark.
He didn’t resist.
He just looked at us — confused, but still gentle.

As if he’s still waiting…
For the person who walked away.

With a new term comes renewed responsibility, sharper focus, and an even stronger commitment to the ones who matter most — our 2,000+ dogs who depend on us every single day.

We are proud to present the Furrykids Safehaven Committee 2026/2027 — a team made up of individuals who have stepped forward not for titles, but for purpose. Each role carries weight, accountability, and the shared mission of pushing animal welfare forward, the right way.

From leadership to ground ex*****on, this structure reflects one thing clearly:
we are building a system that works — for the animals, for transparency, and for long-term impact.

To our Co-Founders & Advisors, thank you for your continued guidance and unwavering belief in what we do. Your presence keeps us grounded while we move forward.

This term is not about comfort.
It’s about integrity, discipline, clarity, and results.

Out of all the chaos, the barking, the waiting… four pups found their way home. Not temporary care. Not “let’s see how it goes.” But real homes. Real families. Real second chances.
