When Every Second Counts: Are You Ready?

Ideally, we are never helpless bystanders. We are ready to act. 💪

On 8th February 2026, MPKK Kelawai and Leo-Lions Club of Penang Sunrise successfully co-organized a vital CPR, AED & Choking Rescue Workshop at St. Jo's Hall, Gurney Paragon.

We were thrilled to welcome 19 dedicated participants, along with incredible support from Leo & Lions Cabinet members, friends, and family. The energy was amazing—filled with the joy of learning and the spirit of community service!

🙌 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Team:

Co-Organizers: Leo-Lion Loo Kah Wei & Alan Ho (MPKK Kelawai) for the seamless coordination.

Expert Trainers: Mr. Izzudin & Mr. Rayson Khoo from Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (PBSM) for their professional guidance.

We learned more than just techniques; we learned how to be a lifeline for others. Let’s hope these skills never have to be used, but if an emergency strikes, we are now prepared to save lives.

The MPKK Kelawai team, joining hands with YB Joshua Woo Sze Zeng and JPWK President Irene Lee, hit the ground running to share some festive cheer. We went around distributing unique "Red Packets" and mandarin oranges to everyone enjoying their dinner.
The best part wasn't just the gifts, but the warm smiles and genuine chats at every table. It’s these real connections that make our community spirit so strong.

2026 Calendar Distribution at Goodall Cafe.

In a blink of an eye, a year is about to pass.
Time slipped quietly between moments in the space between one sunrise and the next,
in the unnoticed rhythm of ordinary days.

We didn’t feel the days rushing forward;
we only felt the echoes they left behind,
laughter shared, lessons learned,
the quiet triumphs, the small heartbreaks,
the dreams that grew silently in the background.

A year passes the way seasons change:
subtly at first, then all at once.
Suddenly the calendar tells us what our hearts
hadn’t yet realized:
We’ve moved forward;
We’ve changed;
We’ve lived

And as we look back, it becomes clear
even the smallest moments mattered,
and every step, even the uncertain ones,
brought us here.

As we step forward, may we savor the present a little more, knowing how quickly it becomes the past.
