Victoria Learning Centre The Victoria Learning Centre is a non-profit refugee school founded in 2013, basic under UNHCR protection. Every child deserves a chance to learn.

Our mission is to make education accessible to refugee children in Malaysia who struggle to receive a basic education. Yet, countless refugee children in Malaysia struggle to receive a basic education. Our school exists to provide an education and support refugee children with love and care. As we are still a growing school, we are in need of as much support we can receive. Whether it be volunteer

ing as a teacher at our school of 34 students and increasing, to donating learning resources, any help offered will allow us to improve the welfare and education of our students. Furthermore, some students have no choice but to miss several days of school due to location issues. Therefore, we aim to develop into a boarding school to allow those to attend school everyday. However, our tight financial situation prevents us from reaching that goal, thus any donations given can contribute massively to making this vision possible. Our school welcomes the refugee community aged 4 to 14, and we do the best we can everyday to support our students with the resources we have. Bittersweet moments at Victoria Learning Centre today as we say goodbye to Teacher Shane! ❤️

​For almost two years, Teacher Shane has dedicated his time, energy, and heart as a volunteer at VLC. Today marks his last day with us before he steps into his new job. From all the laughter in the classroom to every student he has inspired, his presence will be deeply missed by students and staff alike.

​Our students wrapped up the week with an amazing hands-on engineering challenge! From rolling and taping sturdy pillars to working collaboratively on intricate structures, they showed incredible teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Tiny hands are doing big work today at Victoria Learning Centre! ✍️🎨
​Through intentional coloring and tracing, our little learners are strengthening their fine motor skills and building the "finger power" needed for writing. Watching their focus and coordination grow is the highlight of our day!
