Malam Yayasan 2025 – Final Part

A heartfelt thank you to Yayasan Kelab-Kelab Rotary Malaysia for entrusting the Rotary Club of Puchong with the honour of organising this momentous 40th Anniversary celebration. We are truly humbled — and we sincerely apologise for any discomfort or shortcomings along the way.

We are deeply moved by the tremendous show of support from Rotarians — not only from Districts 3300 (Malaysia) and 3310 (Malaysia, Brunei & Singapore), but also from Taiwan and India.

Malam Yayasan 2025 – Part 6

The evening continued with a special promotion of Genting Institute 2025 by its Organising Chair, PDG Siti Subaidah. The event promises an impressive lineup as the District prepares to welcome delegates from across the region.

The next segment reflected on four decades of service, resilience, and collective leadership. In a moving tribute, Trustee Chairman PDG Datuk Zainie Abdul Aucasa and District Governor Edward Khoo led the recognition of past chairmen, trustees, treasurers, and secretaries whose contributions laid the foundation of Yayasan’s enduring impact.

The evening concluded with Rotary Club of Puchong, the organising club, receiving a certificate of appreciation from Deputy Trustee Chairman PDG Teoh. He then delivered his closing remarks, extending gratitude to all who had made Malam Yayasan a success, and expressing hope that Yayasan would grow even stronger in the next 40 years and beyond.

This was followed by the anniversary cake-cutting ceremony, joined enthusiastically by everyone on the floor – a fitting celebration of Yayasan’s remarkable journey. In a gesture of appreciation, the District Governor and his wife were presented with a fruit basket and bouquet of flowers, acknowledging their gracious presence despite having another event on the same day and time.

Malam Yayasan 2025 – Part 3

Celebrating Impactful Projects Across Districts
The Project Awards honour outstanding initiatives from Rotary Clubs, covering projects supported through Yayasan's Support Grant and
Partnerships in our five areas of focus: community, youth, education, environment, and women empowerment.

Winners and special mentions were selected based on impact, reach, and alignment with community needs, alongside long-term sustainability, public image, and member engagement.

Careful consideration was also given to ensure balanced representation across both districts. This year's approach is intentionally generous, designed to inspire and encourage greater participation from clubs in future endeavours.

Malam Yayasan 2025 – Part 2

On 20 September 2025, Malam Yayasan was held at Corus KLCC. True to Murphy’s Law, it coincided with the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2025, which saw many leading roads closed from 4pm–8pm. But that did not dampen the spirit of our guests!

Despite the challenge, we had 25 tables filled, and by 6:30pm the ballroom was glowing with guests arriving in beautiful and colourful attire befitting the theme. The Chairman and Board of Trustees were on hand to warmly receive everyone.

It was also a privilege to welcome back our past leaders:

Past Chairmen: PDG Lim Kok Beng, Datuk George Anthony Ginibun, Dr Paul Lee
Past Trustees: PDG Datuk Dr N. Lakshmanan, PAG Dr Sen Gupta, PDG Philip Chong
Past Treasurers & Secretaries: PAG Dato’ Esther Tan, PAG Laang Jhe How, Rtn Thomas Varughese

The evening was filled with warm camaraderie — a beautiful reunion of friends bound by Rotary service. At the entrance, guests were greeted by a heartfelt compilation of best wishes for Yayasan, thoughtfully curated by Alison and proudly displayed for all to see.

Malam Yayasan 2025 – Part 1

After months of meticulous planning, Malam Yayasan came to life, made even more meaningful as Yayasan Kelab-Kelab Rotary Malaysia celebrated its 40th Anniversary.
Aside from the annual donor recognition, Malam Yayasan this year was special, where Yayasan's past chairmen, past trustees, secretaries, and treasurers gathered and were honoured. Also, a Coffee-Table Book to mark the 40-year journey of Yayasan was soft-launched.

This event was organised by the Rotary Club of Puchong, with strong support from members of Rotary Clubs of KL DiRaja, Bukit Kiara Sunrise, Bukit Bintang, and Rahman Putra – a true spirit of Rotary teamwork.

Thank you team for a job well done!

President Yasmin Yusuf and admin chair Jennie Poh organized a talk on
“Inclusive Catering: What “Halal and Vegetarian/Vegan” Really Mean”
In a multiracial and multi-faith society like ours, respect starts with understanding. Yet, misconceptions around Halal, Vegetarian, and Vegan food remain common—especially when organizing events and catering for all. Tonight all misconceptions will be dispelled at this enlightening talk by 2 experts in their respective field. We are joined by presidents and members of other clubs who participated actively in the Q and A session.
