Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Truck Association was honored to participate in the VTAREC Road Safety Forum held on 12 March 2026 at MNRB Holdings Berhad, Kuala Lumpur.

The forum carried the important message “Driving Requires Brains, Not Phones” with the campaign hashtag , highlighting the serious risks of using mobile phones while driving.

Representatives from government agencies, enforcement authorities, industry organizations and road safety experts gathered to discuss strategies to reduce accidents and improve road safety in Malaysia. The discussion also emphasized stricter enforcement, awareness campaigns, and responsible driving practices among all road users.

As representatives of the Selangor & Kuala Lumpur truck industry, we fully support initiatives that promote safer roads, responsible driving behavior, and reduced road accidents, especially within the commercial vehicle sector.

We would like to thank VTAREC (Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia) and the Ministry of Transport (MOT) for organizing this meaningful forum and bringing together stakeholders to strengthen road safety awareness.

雪隆罗里公会荣幸受邀出席于 2026年3月12日 在吉隆坡 MNRB Holdings Berhad 举办的 VTAREC 道路安全论坛。

本次论坛以 “驾驶需要的是脑袋，而不是手机” 为主题，并推动 的道路安全意识运动，提醒公众在驾驶时使用手机所带来的严重安全风险。

Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Trucking Association 2026 AGM & Chinese New Year Dinner

The Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Trucking Association successfully held its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 7 March 2026, beginning at 5:00 PM, followed by a Chinese New Year celebration dinner with our members and committee.

The event took place at Sin Choi Wah Restaurant, bringing together members of the association to review the past year’s developments, discuss matters concerning the trucking industry, and strengthen unity within the association.

Following the AGM, members and committee members gathered for a festive dinner in celebration of the Chinese New Year, fostering closer relationships and camaraderie among industry peers.

The association would like to express its sincere appreciation to all members who attended and contributed to the success of the AGM and the enjoyable evening together.

We look forward to another productive year ahead for the trucking industry.

雪隆罗里公会于 2026 年 3 月 7 日下午 5 时 成功举办了 2026 年度会员大会（AGM），随后与会员及理事们一同举行了 新春联欢晚宴。

本次活动在 新翠华酒家（Sin Choi Wah Restaurant） 举行，汇聚了公会会员，共同回顾过去一年的发展情况，讨论与罗里运输行业相关的重要事务，并进一步加强公会内部的团结与联系。

在会员大会结束后，会员与理事们齐聚一堂，共进新春晚宴，在欢庆农历新年的喜庆气氛中增进彼此之间的情谊与交流，促进业界同仁之间更紧密的联系。

Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Trucking Association Attends 2026 Chinese New Year Gathering by Media Chinese International Limited

The Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Trucking Association was honoured to attend the “丙午马年世华媒体新春联欢会” Chinese New Year Gathering Dinner, organised by Media Chinese International Limited, held on 4 March 2026 (16th day of the Lunar New Year).

The event was attended by several committee members of our association, led by our President Dato’ KK Wong. The gathering provided a great opportunity for networking and strengthening ties with members of the media, industry leaders, and representatives from various sectors.

It was a joyful evening celebrating the festive spirit of the Year of the Fire Horse (丙午马年) while fostering goodwill and collaboration among the business and media community.

We would like to express our appreciation to Media Chinese International Limited for the kind invitation and warm hospitality. We look forward to continued engagement and cooperation in the future.

拜会APAD交流讨论许多业者误用准证于不正确的用途，导致他们的罗里被陆路交通局（JPJ）扣请官员更具体地说明准证的使用目的；
在申请新准证的过渡期间，旧准证是否可以继续使用，直到新准证签发后才注销旧准证？等事宜。
Session with APAD to discuss issues where many operators have misused permits for incorrect purposes, resulting in their lorries being detained by the Road Transport Department (JPJ). We requested officers to provide clearer and more specific explanations on the intended use of the permits.

We also discussed whether, during the transition period when applying for new permits, the existing permits can continue to be used until the new permits are issued, after which the old permits would be cancelled.
