This week, Lions and Leos gathered in Vienna for Lions Day with the United Nations, celebrating global partnership and service in action. 🌍
Highlights included remarks from International President A. P. Singh, Lions Clubs International Foundation Chairperson Fabrício Oliveira, PID Dr. Walter Zemrosser, PIP Gudrun Yngvadottir, Austrian Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, and UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime leaders Candice Welsch and Justice Tettey—alongside updates from Leo-Lion Dorina Szalagyi and Leo-Lion August Valera.
A key moment of the day celebrated LCIF’s partnership with World Food Program USA, highlighting a shared commitment to addressing hunger, while also renewing our collaboration with UNODC to support students worldwide.
From a dynamic SDG-focused panel featuring Lion leaders and UN experts to youth peace poster and essay recognitions, and inspiring musical performances by Jakobus Weichinger, the day showcased the power of Lions service on a global stage.
