Malaysian Bengalee Association MBA was founded to inculcate the cultural, intellectual and moral heritage among the community.

The Bengali Community meets up Members and Patrons in the community at least thrice a year during our major Bengali festivals: Paila Baishakh, Durga Puja and Kali Puja (held between April, and September to November). The Bengali Community has its own property overlooking the sea picturesque in Port Dickson, and here is where a Prayer Hall has been erected. Bengalis congregate from all over Penins

ular Malaysia and Singapore to celebrate Paila Baishakh and Kali Puja in Port Dickson. This property carries a sense of community spirit and ethnic pride, as it was purchased by our forefathers, a group of original Bengali Immigrants and who donated their half a month's salary for the property. Thus their second and third generation descendants now see it as 'a shrine'.

The High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur, through the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre (NSCBICC), is pleased to organize a Surya Namaskar Workshop – "A Journey of Strength & Serenity" on Saturday, 25 July 2026, from 8:30am onwards at the Multipurpose Hall, NSCBICC, Kuala Lumpur.

The workshop will be conducted by Ms. Dhanistha Samariya, Teacher of Indian Culture (Yoga), NSCBICC.

It aims to promote the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of Surya Namaskar , a time-honoured yogic practice that enhances strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well-being.
