GITA or Global Integrated Transcendental Association of Penang was officially inaugurated on 24 January 2015 by a Penang State Government Official in the presence of other NGOs and media at the Penang Gandhiji Ashram. GITA is relatively new among well-established NGOs in Penang and we wish to also do our part in serving the community and society at large. We are eager to network and collaborate wi

th NGOs locally and abroad as well as corporations to undertake our mission. GITA’s main objective is to enhance unity and peace through culture, supported by revealed scriptures – the Bhagavad Gita. GITA is a non-sectarian organisation which will aid anyone regardless of age, gender, race or creed. In its mission to promote unity and peace, GITA organises programmes for public participation, especially targeting the youth involving personal development, motivational activities and programmes for improving and learning new skills. We believe by sowing the seeds of peace, love, and respect in children we will help nurture a better future generation.
