Rotaract Club of Tanjong Bungah

Rotaract Club of Tanjong Bungah Rotaract Club of Tanjung Bungah (Situated in Penang), brings together teens and young adults of age 18 to 30 to bond together and serve the community.

Rotaract originally began as a Rotary International youth programme in 1968 and has now grown into a major Rotary-sponsored organisation of over 7,000 clubs spread around the world and 173,000 + members. It is a professional service, leadership and community service organisation for young men and women between the ages 18–30. Rotaract focuses on the development of young adults as leaders in their

communities and workplaces. Clubs around the world also take part in international service projects, in a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

In conjunction with World Rotaract Week, we had the opportunity to visit Pusat Jagaan Naomi, a center that we previously supported through a repainting project.

During this visit, our team contributed essential items to support the daily needs of the residents. While these are small gestures, we hope they help make a meaningful difference in their lives.

We would also like to take a moment to recognize the incredible dedication of the person in charge Ms Josephine, who selflessly manages both an old folks home and an orphanage. The commitment, patience, and compassion required to care for people across generations is truly admirable.

Through this post, we hope to bring more attention to Pusat Jagaan Naomi and the meaningful work being done there. Centers like this rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the community. Any form of support—whether through donations or simply spreading awareness—can go a long way in helping them continue their mission.

As we celebrate the spirit of World Rotaract Week, we wish everyone at Pusat Jagaan Naomi continued strength, good health, and many more moments of joy ahead. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. 💙
