GreenRE Shares ENRB Insights with Universiti Malaya Building Surveying Students
On 10 August 2026, GreenRE was invited to share industry insights with students from the Department of Building Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya (UM), through a guest lecture delivered by Ts. Siti Radhiah Md Merzuki.
The session, titled “Assessing the GreenRE Rating Tool for Existing Non-Residential Buildings,” focused on the practical application of the GreenRE rating tool in assessing and improving the performance of existing buildings.
Students were introduced to the assessment process, including how opportunities for improvement can be identified and how a building can progress towards GreenRE certification. The session also provided valuable industry context on the role of green building assessment in enhancing the environmental performance of existing buildings.
As future professionals in the built environment, today’s students will play an important role in shaping more sustainable buildings and communities. Engaging with them at an early stage helps strengthen awareness, build practical understanding, and prepare the next generation to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable built environment.
