🏸 BWF Level 2 Coach Education Course Successfully Concluded in Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾
Badminton Asia successfully conducted the BWF Level 2 Coach Education Course in Kuala Lumpur from 17–22 February 2026, bringing together coaches from across Asia in a dynamic learning environment.
The course provided an excellent platform for coaches to enhance their technical knowledge, coaching methodologies, and practical skills, supporting their continuous professional development and progression in badminton coaching.
Led by the Badminton Asia Tutor Team, the program combined both theoretical and practical sessions, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience aligned with international coaching standards.
Participants demonstrated strong commitment and enthusiasm throughout the course, reflecting the growing dedication to raising coaching standards and developing badminton across the region.

🏸 Shuttle Time Teachers Courses Successfully Conducted in Faisalabad and Lahore – Pakistan 🇵🇰
The Pakistan Badminton Federation successfully organized two Shuttle Time Teachers Courses in Faisalabad (20 January 2026) and Lahore (18 February 2026) as part of its ongoing commitment to grassroots badminton development.
📍 Faisalabad Course
The District Sports Department Faisalabad, in collaboration with the District Badminton Association Faisalabad, successfully conducted the Shuttle Time Teacher Training Course at the Al Fateh Sports Complex.
A total of 31 Physical Education (P.E.) teachers, both male and female, representing various schools across Faisalabad district participated in the training.
The course began with a three-hour theoretical session in the Conference Hall, focusing on Shuttle Time teaching methodology, modern badminton teaching techniques, structured lesson planning, and effective methods of introducing badminton at the school level.
After a short break, practical training sessions were held in the Gymnasium Hall, where teachers gained hands-on coaching experience and participated in skill-based activities aligned with Shuttle Time lesson plans.
📍 Lahore Course
The District Education Department Lahore, in collaboration with Pilot Higher Secondary School (Boys), Wahdat Colony Lahore, also organized a Shuttle Time Teachers Course with 31 P.E. teachers from schools across Lahore district.
Similar to the Faisalabad program, the course included a three-hour theoretical session on Shuttle Time methodology followed by practical training activities, allowing participants to experience modern badminton teaching approaches in a practical environment.
🌱 Commitment to Grassroots Development
All participating teachers expressed strong commitment to implement Shuttle Time lessons and organize badminton coaching activities in their respective schools, helping to introduce more young students to badminton.
These courses will play a significant role in enhancing teachers’ ability to deliver badminton education in a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment, further strengthening grassroots badminton development in Pakistan.
Both courses were conducted by Shuttle Time Tutor Mr. Tayyab Sohail.

We were honored to welcome John Shearer, Deputy Director – Continental & Membership Development (BWF), to the camp. He spent valuable time interacting with our athletes—discussing their training, exchanging ideas, listening to their feedback, and even inviting them to visit the BWF office. We sincerely appreciate his guidance, professional insights, and continued support for the development of Asian badminton.

This year’s camp brings together 22 athletes from 13 countries (9 female, 13 male), representing the growing strength and diversity of badminton across Asia.

Badminton Asia proudly launches the AOP Selection Camp 2025, bringing together rising talents from across Asia for three weeks of high-intensity training, development, and competition. The journey toward the AOP 2026 Squad officially begins today!

🌍 A total of 21 young athletes (13 boys, 9 girls) from 13 countries — Bahrain • Bangladesh • Iran • Iraq • Kazakhstan • Kyrgyzstan • Mongolia • Nepal • Saudi Arabia • Syria • Tajikistan • UAE • Uzbekistan — will spend the next three weeks pushing their limits, sharpening their skills, and showcasing their potential as they aim for selection into the AOP 2026 Squad.

Qatar is Shining in Badminton! 🚀🏸

The Shuttle Time Tutor Course has been successfully completed at the Qatar Badminton Association (QBA) Hall in Doha — another major milestone for badminton development in the country!
Held in a fully equipped learning environment, the programme combined high-quality classroom instruction with dynamic on-court practical sessions, giving participants a complete and engaging training experience.
A diverse group of eight passionate participants, all currently residing in Qatar, took part in the course. Their energy, dedication, and teamwork played a key role in the success of this initiative.
Organised by Qatar Badminton Association in partnership with the Qatar National Olympic Committee, this programme is part of a larger vision to revitalise Shuttle Time across Qatar. With an ambitious target of training 200 certified teachers, Qatar continues to expand badminton’s reach into schools, communities, and all regions of the nation.
The course wrapped up on a very positive note—laying a strong foundation for future Shuttle Time activities and further strengthening the growth of badminton in Qatar.
