Headline: EGM, Engineering, and a Little Bit of Luck! 🍀🔧

Last Tuesday's 7th meeting had it all—serious club business, passionate Supermum discussions, and a speaker who literally took us "Towards The Future." 🌈

First, the business: We had an EGM to sort out club affairs, but the conversation that really got everyone fired up? How we can reimagine our Supermum project for today's ever-changing world. Ideas were flying, and honestly? We love that energy. 💡💜

Then, PP Chue KK—who's been a Rotarian since before some of us were born!—shared his journey from engineering entrepreneur to passionate Rotarian. Thermal-spray processes? EduPlus? A moving video on lasting impact? He covered it all. We even understood some of it! 😉

And of course, the lucky draw:
🏆 Sonia
🏆 Tarcisius

(We're starting to think Sonia might be using a secret system. No proof. Yet. 😂)

Shoutout to our Rotarians on duty:
Rtn Terence, PP Seng F**k, PAG Capt HS Dharan, PP Victor Lee, and Rtn Matthew—you kept the evening smooth and the fines flowing! 💰😄

EGM = no outside guests, but our Rotary family packed the room with passion and purpose.

See you all next week! 🥳

Headline: Calling All Bakers & Social Entrepreneurs! 🧁🍞

The Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya is looking for a new contractor to take over our Supermum Bakery effective 1st September 2026!

This is a unique opportunity to run a fully-equipped bakery with zero rental costs—we're providing the premises and all baking equipment, free of charge! 🏪✅

What We're Looking For:

🏢 Existing distribution channels – You must have outlets to sell sufficient quantities profitably. (Local bakery sales are for training purposes only and won't be enough to break even.)

👩‍🍳 Commitment to training – You must undertake to train at least 20 trainees (both male and female) per year, subject to applicant availability.

💡 A heart for social impact – This isn't just about baking; it's about changing lives through skills and opportunity.

Why This Matters:

The Supermum Bakery isn't just a business—it's a launchpad for single mothers and individuals seeking a fresh start. We're looking for a partner who shares our vision of empowerment through vocational training.

Interested? Let's Talk!

📞 Contact J. Lim at 012-3300 711 or Siti at 018-280 6007 for more details.

Know someone who might be perfect for this? Please share this post and help us find the right partner! 🤝

Headline: From Baking Cakes to Baking for Google—Noor Liza Did That! 💜👩‍🍳

You know those moments when you feel like you're witnessing something truly special? That was last Tuesday at our 5th meeting.

Our very own Supermum Alumni, Noor Liza Abdul Rauf, took the stage at Grand Dorsett Subang and shared her journey in "SUPERMUM – THE WAY TO A NEW LIFE."

She told us about the struggles, the late nights, the baking sessions, and how—with a little help from RCPJ and a whole lot of determination—she went from our programme to... wait for it... Google's kitchen! 🏢🌟

We're not saying we take credit for her success, but... okay, maybe we're a little proud. 😉

Other highlights from the night:

🎉 Sonia & Adrian walked away with the lucky draw prizes (still waiting for our cut, guys! 😂)

🙌 A fantastic turnout from our Rotaractors—you brought the energy and we loved it!

Another beautiful evening of fellowship, stories, and inspiration. See you at the next one!
