PETALING JAYA: Industry groups have called for the entertainment tax to be scrapped, saying the decades-old levy is pricing Malaysians out of leisure and entertainment.

Industries Unite brought together all industry leaders to call for "Abolishing the Entertainment Tax" in , in a press conference recently at PJPAC Kuala Lumpur.

Panel speakers at the press conference were;

> Tan Sri CK Teo – Advisor, Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (PPK Malaysia)

> Tan Sri Richard Koh – Founding President, Malaysian Association of Theme Parks & Family Attractions (MATFA)

> Rizal Kamal – Senior Advisor, Malaysian Association for Arts, Live Events, Concerts and Festivals (ALIFE)
