Autistic children are often picky eaters and may be more likely to have food allergies or sensitivities. That's why it's important to ensure their meals are both suitable for their needs and rich in nutrients. 🧩

Get creative with mealtimes to encourage them to eat. For example, blend broccoli into rice porridge or make a banana smoothie. These simple ideas can help make meals more colourful and nutritious.

Tip: Reduce added sugar and sweeteners to support healthier eating habits. 🚫🍬

Kanak-kanak autisme memang selalunya memilih makan (picky eaters) dan mudah kena alahan. Jadi, kita kena sentiasa pastikan makanan mereka sesuai dan berkhasiat tinggi. 🧩

SpongeBob’s kind-hearted and innocent personality, his joy from being around others, his strong emotions and empathy are traits that some autistic individuals may relate to. 💛

Tom Kenny, SpongeBob’s voice actor, shared that SpongeBob can be seen as autistic, while AutieJake on YouTube said, “He’s a little confused, but he’s got the spirit, I think.”

Every mind shines differently. ✨

Many do not know that the signs of autism in girls are actually different from boys.

They are incredibly skilled at mimicking their peers (social masking) just to fit in.

Because of this, autism in girls is frequently overlooked and diagnosed much later.

Understand autism more deeply. - NASOM ✨

───

Today's Inspiration: Tiger Villec, a creative autistic child, produces beautiful drawings upside down. 🎨🙃

When he was 9 years old, his cartoon drawings caught everyone's attention. Even though they were drawn upside down, the results looked exactly like the actual cartoon characters!

A great inspiration to the autism community for never giving up. Every autistic child is unique in their own way. 🌟

One of the ways autistic children express their emotions is through hitting behaviour.

However, there can be many reasons behind this behaviour. It is not simply because they are angry or being rude.

Hitting behaviour can happen because they are confused, feeling overwhelmed, needing help or experiencing discomfort. Take the time to understand the situation and identify the message they are trying to communicate. 🫶✨

Every behaviour carries a different emotion and meaning. 🌈

───
