⛪Dearest Church Family, ⛪

As Hari Merdeka and Hari Malaysia approach, we would like to invite you to stand together with the Body of Christ across our nation.

CCM together with Prayer United and the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur are stepping into a season of national consecration and prayer by co-hosting the prayer events below from 31st August – 16th September 2026. We hope that you all are able to participate and pray for our most beloved Nation. 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾

Here are the TWO prayer initiatives we hope you can join in.

1️⃣MALAYSIA WEEK OF PRAYER ( MWOP )
🗓 Dates : 31st August – 16th September 2026
⏰ Time: Every night at 8.00pm
💻 Platform: Youtube ( online )

Co-led by 24-7 Prayer Malaysia and the Malaysian Worship Collective, this wonderful new initiative will be anchored by Gina Yap and Juwita Suwito. Churches across Malaysia are warmly invited to gather, to watch, reflect and pray. This is designed as a prophetic bridge between Merdeka Day and Malaysia day because these are not two separate national moments, rather it is a one continuous story.
So let us Watch → Reflect → Pray for Malaysia. 🙏❤️🙏

2️⃣MALAYSIA DAY OF PRAYER ( MDOP )
🗓 Date: Monday, 16th September 2026
⏰ Time: 7.00 a.m. – 10.00 p.m.
💐 Theme: Perfect Love Casts Out Fear ( 1 John 4:18 )

In a national climate where fear and hate rhetoric can feel overwhelming, our theme "Perfect Love Casts Out Fear" speaks directly into that atmosphere. This event serves as a call to the church to be a people shaped by love so that it can continue to serve as a quiet witness to our beloved Nation.

Attached below are our posters in English, BM, Chinese and Tamil, pls feel free to share them! We are so looking forward to standing together in this National season!

After two nights of hard work by the TNB team, we are glad to inform you that full power supply has been restored to our beloved Ecumenical Centre at 11:50 PM last night!
By God's grace, CCM is back to full operations, serving our churches and the public, even though there is equipment to be replaced and insurance claims to be made in the following weeks.
The CCM Office thanks all our members and friends for the prayer support during this anxious period. Thanks also to the Bomba and TNB teams for their courageous and tireless work. And to our guests and friends for your kind understanding and support.
May God be praised! 🙏😇

🕊️🎨A beautiful tapestry of faith, leadership, and culture at HEBI Konferensi Wanita 2026! 🕊️🎨

Day 3 at YMCA reminded us of the incredible strength, diversity, and wisdom of women in our community. During the day, we learned how to balance our careers and ministries, protect our children in a digital world, and break barriers in leadership, thanks to the phenomenal sessions by Reverend Jollify Daniel and Dr. Judy Berinai. The rooms were filled with breakthroughs and shared wisdom!

When the sun went down, the celebration began! Our Cultural Night brought us together through the universal language of dance and poetry. From the energetic Tarian Sewang by the Methodist's Persidangan Misi Sengoi and the graceful Tarian Jatun Julut, to the uplifting Borneo Happiness and Royohan Dahai Iya Tuhan by the Presbyterian ladies and Malaysian Care’s stirring Wanita HEBI poetry—our hearts were full.

We closed the night in gratitude as Rev. Dr. Philip Lok honored our speakers and organizers, Dr. Judy Berinai, Rev. Jollify Daniel, and Pastor Sam Surendran (Excel Point Community Church Penang) amongst others with a simple token of appreciation.

We are so blessed by this sisterhood. Onto the next chapter! 🌟

Day After the Fire
The Bomba Forensic team conducted a check the morning after the fire at the TNB substation located within the CCM compound. After the investigation, the site was handed back to TNB, who responded immediately to replace the compact substation and to restore power supply.

Teams from various TNB contractors were on site from 10 PM last night (with at least 25 - 30 workers in total), first to dismantle the burnt-out substation, and then waited for a massive crane to remove the damaged unit. Next was to sky-lift the new substation from a nearby open area, and move it into the CCM compound.

The whole process was quite a demanding and dangerous task, but thanks to the professionalism and experience of the TNB workers, the 'exchange' of the damaged substation with the new one was completed successfully and safely. The day's work was completed at around 4:30 AM. Tonight (Friday), the TNB team will work to commission the new substation and to restore power to our building. We look forward to Saturday morning, when the Ecumenical Centre can be back in full operation again.

CCM wishes to thank all the TNB workers for their good work, including those who have worked behind the scenes to expedite this restoration process by mobilizing the teams quickly. We also thank our in-house guests and neighbors for their kind understanding as they had to bear with the inconveniences as the repairs were carried out through the early hours of the morning.

But most of all, for God's protection and grace upon all involved. 🙏😇

"Not Every Interruption is a Setback."
Someone share with us a socmed post related to the fire incident at CCM yesterday.
She/He is probably a regular user of our car park, and yesterday's fire affected her/his normal routine. But instead of voicing grievances or complaining about the inconveniences she/he had to endure, the writer wrote a deeper reflection on the unpleasant experience.
It was a beautiful reflection. A lesson we can apply to our lives.
To the writer, CCM thank you for your kind words and understanding. Terima kasih, and we hope to meet you in person in the near future. 🙏

Fire @ CCM Ecumenical Center, 5 Aug 2026
At about 4:30 PM yesterday, a series of small explosions was heard coming from the back of our building. Upon rushing out to check, we realized that smoke was bellowing out from the TNB substation, with small fires leaping out from the back of the station. Our staff immediately contacted Bomba and TNB to alert them of the fire.

At about 5:20 PM, the fire brigade arrived with about 12 firefighters, but unfortunately, they could not take action immediately as the power supply going to the substation had to be cut first. A 2-member TNB team arrived at around 5:30PM, but they were unable to do anything because the substation's capacity is beyond their authorization. It took another 20 minutes before another TNB staff member came to stop the power supply.
As we waited, the fire grew bigger and fiercer, as substations usually carry batteries with oil content. The fire was fueled by the oil found within the station.

It took more than 30 minutes before the firemen were able to put out the fire. Only then could we see the damage to the back facade of our beloved Ecumenical Centre.
TNB called in a huge generator to provide temporary supply to our building, and electricity was fully restored at around 10:30 PM.

CCM has already made the necessary police report and will be working with Bomba as they conduct a forensic investigation into the cause of the fire. TNB will be replacing the burnt-out substation with a new unit within the next few days.
We are thankful for God's protection and that no one suffered any injuries in the fire. Also, we are thankful that, although certain parts of our building are scorched, the more precious sections - like our chapel's stained-glass windows - have not suffered major damage.

CCM is thankful to the firefighters who responded bravely to the situation, and to TNB for providing the much-needed support. We also deeply appreciate many of our guests who patiently waited for hours to retrieve their cars parked in our basement car park.
Finally, we give thanks to God for keeping us safe. And for His protection over our beloved Ecumenical Centre. Please pray for the CCM Staff as we work to restore the damaged parts of the Centre. Thanks for your prayer solidarity. God bless.

The energy at YMCA Penang was amazing on Day 2 of the HEBI Women's Conference! 🔥

It was all about diving deeper, breaking barriers, and building strong connections with so many phenomenal women. Seeing our participants come together to support, uplift, and empower one another is truly so inspiring and heartwarming to experience!

We invite all our Facebook friends to lift them up in prayer today. Please pray that the inspiration they felt yesterday turns into lasting breakthroughs in their lives, careers, and ministries. Let’s cover them in faith and support. Thank you.
