12 July 2026 : Humanitarian Aid to Trinity Community Children’s Home at Section 7, Petaling Jaya.

Purpose of Visit
IPP Chwee paid a heartfelt visit to the children at Trinity Community Children’s Home. The objective was to extend care and support through the donation of clothing and essential food provisions.

Contributions Delivered
Pre-loved casual and work wear for the teens
Food provisions including assorted cup noodles, cup rice, vermicelli, onions, and potatoes

Since Pastor Wendy was away, Cik Noraliza and the children graciously received the donations on behalf of the Home.

5 July 2026 : Visit to Uncle Kentang Rest & Smile Home, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan

Paid a meaningful visit to Uncle Kentang Rest & Smile Home located at 20 Jalan Tasik Senangin 8/8, Bandar Tasik Senangin, Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan. The home, under the care of Uncle Kentang, operates two facilities in Taman Tasik Senangin — one for male residents and another for female residents. Together, these homes can provide shelter and care for 20 elderly individuals, with 10 residents in each home, but currently only occupied by 10 inmates. Oldest being 81 and youngest 40+ with special need.

In the spirit of compassion and service, the Club contributed essential dry food supplies including noodles, cup rice and fruits. Additionally, Lion Eric personally donated cash in loving memory of his late mother Mdm. Lee Swee Sien, ensuring her legacy continues to touch lives through acts of kindness.

Caretaker Mdm. Ping expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, while also sharing the challenges faced by the homes. Due to their remote location, they seldom receive visitors or regular assistance. She earnestly hopes that more individuals and organizations will come forward to provide food provisions and support, so that the residents may continue to live with dignity and comfort.

This visit reflects the Club’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian service — reaching out to the underserved, offering companionship, and ensuring that no one is forgotten, even in the quiet corners of our community.

✨ Lions Clubs International District 308B2 Appreciation & Awards Nite 28 June 2026✨

Hosted by District Governor Tan Say Cheong, the evening was a celebration of dedication, service and invaluable contributions by Cabinet Officers, Club Presidents, and Lions members throughout his term of office.

Among the many achievements recognized, President Lion Chwee Chee Onn proudly accepted the Excellence Award – Global Service on behalf of the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya Metro, presented by District Governor Tan Say Cheong.

President Chwee Chee Onn also received DG Rose Gold Pin on behalf of the following receipients.

19/6/2026 : Feeding the Hunger on Dumpling Festival at Charis Sheep Pen, Pudu, Kuala Lumpur

Despite a cool, rainy evening, hearts were warm as we gathered to celebrate the Dumpling Festival by bringing nourishment and care to the local community.

The club successfully distributed warm meal packs to approximately 50 underserved residents in Pudu attended by President Chwee, 1st VP Seew Yin, Secretary Andy Lau and Lion Jessica Chan with guests Madam Connie Wong, Jacinta Ling, and Friend of Lions Regina Tan, witnessed by Pastor Leong and Pastor Isaac.

*Clothed with Care**
In addition to the hot meals, the club also donated four bags of apparel to support the community.

This included:
* Men's t-shirts and casual wear
* Leather belts
* Women's apparel

These clothing items were handed over to Pastor Leong, who will ensure they are distributed to the residents who need them most.

Lions Empowered at “AI Prompt Mastery” Workshop
Facilitated by Lion KK Chin of Lions Club Mid-Valley

On 13 June 2026, LC Mid Valley successfully hosted an impactful and hands-on “AI Prompt Mastery” Workshop, featuring the esteemed Lion KK Chin as facilitator.

The workshop drew participation from over 60 enthusiastic Lions, eager to explore and master cutting-edge AI tools including ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, and NotebookLM.

Highlights of the Workshop
Interactive Demonstrations & Practical Exercises: Participants engaged in real-time learning, discovering how to:

Enhance speeches with AI-powered refinements.
Create professional posters and greeting cards.
Transform research materials into engaging flashcards, summaries, and infographics.

Knowledge & Enjoyment Combined: The session was both insightful and enjoyable, equipping Lions with practical skills to harness AI for communication, productivity, and more effective service activities.
