Lions Empowered at “AI Prompt Mastery” Workshop
Facilitated by Lion KK Chin of Lions Club Mid-Valley

On 13 June 2026, LC Mid Valley successfully hosted an impactful and hands-on “AI Prompt Mastery” Workshop, featuring the esteemed Lion KK Chin as facilitator.

The workshop drew participation from over 60 enthusiastic Lions, eager to explore and master cutting-edge AI tools including ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, and NotebookLM.

Highlights of the Workshop
Interactive Demonstrations & Practical Exercises: Participants engaged in real-time learning, discovering how to:

Enhance speeches with AI-powered refinements.
Create professional posters and greeting cards.
Transform research materials into engaging flashcards, summaries, and infographics.

Knowledge & Enjoyment Combined: The session was both insightful and enjoyable, equipping Lions with practical skills to harness AI for communication, productivity, and more effective service activities.

7 June 2026 : Visit to Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti Childrens Home at 8 Jalan 12/6, PJ Jointly with Lions Club Petaling Jaya Mutiara, Lions Club of Sunway Damansara Metro, Lions Club of Petaling Jaya, Lions Club Subang Jaya, Lions Club Ipoh Sunway City, Lions Club Cyberjaya BOR & Lions Club Bintulu Kidurong.

Foodstuffs were jointly donated to the home.

3 June 2026 : YDP Agong’s Birthday Celebration – Duo Projects
🎉 Overview
In conjunction with YDP Agong’s Birthday, Lions Club PJ Metro, Lions Club of Petaling Jaya and Lions Club Petaling Jaya Mutiara members carried out two meaningful community service projects in Subang Jaya, bringing joy and support to both the elderly and children in need.

🏠 Project 1 : Yi Xing Old Folks Home (USJ2, Subang Jaya)
Residents: 25 elderly individuals housed across 2 properties, supported by 2 caregivers cm cooks.

Provisions Delivered : Instant clay pot rice, bee hoon, assorted sauces, oyster collagen juice drinks, plant-based protein oat powder, soy millet powder, instant milk powder, Kampung eggs, McVities biscuits, cakes, pampers, and more.
Recipient: Administrator Steven received the provisions on behalf of the home.

🧒 Project 2: KiDs Home (USJ1, Subang Jaya)
Residents: 15 children housed in 2 properties, supported by 2 caregivers cm cooks.

Provisions Delivered: Instant Tom Yam chicken rice, cumin-flavoured noodles, Tiger Vanilla cream biscuits, assorted sauces, eggs, milk powder.
Special Treats : A variety of snacks were provided to pamper the children during their first-term school holidays.
Recipient: Administrator Mr David received the provisions on behalf of the home.

30 May 2026 – Wesak Day Festive Giveaways to Trinity Community Home, No. 3 Jalan 7/14, Petaling Jaya.

On the eve of Wesak Day, the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya Metro (LC PJ Metro), in collaboration with the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya Mutiara (LC PJ Mutiara), extended a heartfelt Gift of Love 💕 to the children and caregivers of Trinity Community Home (TCH).

🎁 Contributions of Care and Kindness
The donations comprised a thoughtful selection of provisions, including:
Cakes, biscuits, milk powders, soy millet powder
Instant cumin-flavoured noodles, claypot rice
A variety of sauces such as BBQ sauce
Children’s snacks and treats
These items were generously contributed by our caring benefactors and Friends of Lions.

In addition, nine (9) packets of laundry detergent were donated by Lion Richard Kok under our ongoing Laundry of Love (L❤️L) Project, reaffirming our commitment to supporting the daily welfare and hygiene needs of the home.

👩‍👧‍👦 Presentation and Fellowship
The Gift of Love 💕 was received by Pastor Wendy Hew and the dedicated caregivers, in the presence of all 29 children residing at the home.

🌙 Hari Raya Aidiladha Festive Visit to Sincere Old Folks Home, Kajang on Wednesday 27 May 2026.

Pertubuhan Ikhlas Malaysia (PIM), also known as Sincere Care Home, provides shelter and care for the elderly, the mentally ill, the disabled and the homeless. For residents without family, the home offers support purely through charity, while those with families contribute according to their means to sustain this noble service.

On the Hari Raya Aidiladha public holiday, President Chwee Chee Onn together with six Lions members brought festive cheer to the Sincere Old Folks Home in Kajang, which lovingly houses 26 women residents.

🎁 Gifts of Care and Sharing
In the true spirit of compassion and generosity, the club presented groceries worth more than RM300, supplemented by provisions from kind benefactors. These included:

Milk powder, instant rice, noodles, Sauces such as light soy and BBQ, Collagen drinks, pre-loved clothing, bedsheets, and pillowcases.

Groceries & sundries were formally presented to Mr. Navin, the person in charge of the home, who warmly welcomed our members and shared insights into the daily lives and needs of the residents.

This Hari Raya Aidiladha service project was a touching reminder that festive celebrations are not only about tradition, but also about compassion, friendship, and sharing happiness with those around us.

🗓️ 15 May 2026 – Monthly Signature Project: Feed the Hunger at Charis Sheep Pen, Pudu. Our club once again carried forward its mission of service through our Monthly Signature Project: Feed the Hunger, held at Charis Sheep Pen, Pudu.

🌟 Impact in Numbers

More than 50 underserved recipients were blessed with hearty silky smooth chee cheong fun. Each meal was personally handed out, accompanied by words of encouragement and genuine smiles.

👥 Leadership in Action
President Chwee, Secretary Andy, President-elect Seew Yin, PP Eric together with Pastor Leong, were present to serve. Their hands-on involvement exemplified the Lions spirit of We Serve, ensuring that compassion was not only spoken but lived.

💬 Spirit of Service
Though simple in form, this act of kindness carried profound meaning. It reminded us that service is not measured by scale but by sincerity. Every shared smile and every warm meal reflected the essence of compassion in action.

🙏 Reflection
We are truly blessed to be instruments of hope and care. This project continues to affirm our commitment to uplifting communities, one meal and one heart at a time.

11 May 2026 – Donation of Provisions and Laundry Detergents to Rumah KIDS USJ1, Subang Jaya @ 10:00 am. Together, through compassion and service, we continue to share care, hope and love with the community.

In conjunction with the Mother’s Day celebration 💐, the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya Metro (LC PJ Metro) extended its continuing Laundry of Love (L❤️L) Project by presenting a Gift of Love 💞 to Rumah KIDS USJ1.

The donation comprised organic millet powder, vegetable juices, biscuits, mee, potato chips, and laundry detergents — symbolizing care and nourishment for both body and home.

The Gift of Love 💕 was received on behalf of Rumah KIDS by Lead Home Coordinator Mr. Tin and caretaker‑cum‑cook Mdm Vijaya. The presentation was made by Club President Chwee Chee Onn, witnessed by 1st Vice President Tham Seew Yin, Service Director PP Eric Foong, OC PP Tan Ee Ming, several of the home’s 13 resident children, as well as Mr. Phillip and Pastor Godwin.
