🌏 International Understanding Day 2026 | Passport Across Asia ✈️

What an inspiring day at STARS International School as students, educators, and community leaders came together to celebrate International Understanding Day 2026 – Passport Across Asia.

The event was a wonderful platform to promote cultural appreciation, global friendship, and mutual respect among the younger generation. Through engaging performances, interactive activities, and cultural showcases, students experienced the rich diversity of Asia while embracing the values of unity and understanding.

A heartfelt thank you to STARS International School for organizing this meaningful event and to everyone who contributed to its success.

We are also proud that the Rotary Club of Shah Alam had the opportunity to support this initiative, reflecting Rotary's commitment to building peace, fostering international understanding, and empowering future leaders.

Warm Fellowship Across Borders 🇲🇾🇮🇩

It was a great pleasure to welcome our sister club, Rotary Club Bandung (District 3410, Indonesia), during their visit to Malaysia.

Friendship, fellowship, and the exchange of ideas are what make Rotary truly international. We are grateful for the opportunity to strengthen the bond between our clubs, share experiences, and explore future opportunities to serve our communities together.

Thank you to everyone who made this gathering so memorable. We look forward to welcoming you again and visiting Bandung in the near future.

The Last BOD Meeting 12.0
Rotary Year 2025-2026

Today marks my final time chairing a Board of Directors meeting as President of Rotary Club of Shah Alam for Rotary Year 2025/2026.

Twelve board meetings. Countless projects. Numerous challenges. Endless discussions. Most importantly, meaningful impact created together for our community.

From health screenings and community outreach to youth development and humanitarian initiatives, every achievement began with conversations, ideas, and decisions made in this room.

Leadership is temporary, but the friendships forged, lessons learned, and lives touched through service will remain long after the term ends.

As I prepare to hand over the baton, I do so with immense gratitude to my Board of Directors and club members who stood beside me throughout this remarkable journey.

I will certainly miss this chair, but I leave knowing that Rotary Club of Shah Alam will continue to grow, serve, and make a difference.

A proud evening for Rotary Club of Shah Alam as we celebrate the achievements of our members and community projects.

This year, our club was honoured with:

What started as a simple community screening initiative has now become a legacy project that continues to create meaningful impact within our community.

This Rotary year, Rotary Club of Shah Alam focused heavily on disease prevention and treatment, one of Rotary's seven areas of focus. Moving forward, perhaps it's time to venture further into International Service, Peace & Conflict Resolution, and Environmental Sustainability.

So District Awards 2027/2028... be ready, we'll be back stronger! 😄

Most importantly, these achievements belong to every member of Rotary Club of Shah Alam. Despite the challenges, changes, and occasional turbulence throughout the year, our club remained resilient, united, and committed to serving the community.

❤️ SAVE THE HEART 7.0 ❤️

Another successful milestone for Rotary Club of Shah Alam's flagship community health project.

🔹 160+ registrations received
🔹 100 high-risk participants selected
🔹 78 participants screened to date
🔹 25 identified as medium/high cardiovascular risk
🔹 53 identified as low risk
🔹 22 participants completing screening next week

Since the launch of Save the Heart, more than 400 individuals have been screened, with 18 patients successfully receiving further cardiac investigations and treatment through our healthcare partners.

For Save the Heart 7.0, medium and high-risk participants will be referred for further assessment through our collaboration with CVSKL and Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS).

Thank you to all our healthcare partners, sponsors, volunteers, DUN Kota Kemuning, ISS, Poliklinik Shaik Kota Kemuning, Rotary Club of Bandar Sunway, and fellow Rotarians for making this possible.

Together, through Service Above Self, we continue to save hearts, save lives, and build healthier communities.

A wonderful evening at the Rotary Club of Shah Alam May 2026 Fellowship Meeting.

The night was filled with meaningful conversations, networking, fellowship, and inspiring sharing among members and guests.

A special thank you to our speaker, Hamzah Firman, for delivering an insightful session on “Theory to Talent : Training That Translates Complexity into Competence”.

His sharing on developing talent and adapting to today’s complex working environment gave everyone valuable perspectives and practical takeaways.

It was also encouraging to see members bringing along guests and potential members to experience the spirit of Rotary.

The energy, engagement, and support from everyone truly made the evening memorable.

Beyond the presentations and discussions, the fellowship session reminded us that Rotary is not only about service, but also about building genuine friendships, collaboration, and a stronger community together.

Thank you to all members, guests, and organisers who made the evening a success. Looking forward to more impactful meetings, projects, and fellowship ahead.

❤️ SAVE THE HEART 7.0 ❤️

What started in 2023 under the vision of our beloved President and then Community Service Director has now grown into a meaningful movement impacting lives across Selangor and beyond.

From a single initiative, Save the Heart has now expanded into its 7th series, collaborating with renowned institutions such as Institut Jantung Negara, CVSKL, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and Sunway Medical Centre.

This coming week, we will be screening 100 selected individuals from more than 160 applicants over the past two months — proving how urgently cardiac awareness and preventive screening are needed within our community.

✨ Save the Heart 7.0 marks the grand finale project for this Rotary year.

With a collaboration value exceeding RM15,000, this initiative is proudly brought together by:
🤝 Rotary Club of Shah Alam
🤝 DUN Kota Kemuning
🤝 Poliklinik Shaik Kota Kemuning CSR Initiative

Since its inception:
❤️ More than 300 individuals have undergone heart screening
❤️ 18 individuals have successfully received stenting, bypass surgeries, and further diagnostic intervention
❤️ Many lives have been supported through the Saringan Selangor initiative together with Rotary

This is more than a medical program.
This is about giving families another chance.
Another heartbeat. Another tomorrow.

🌙✨ Group 10 Hari Raya Celebration ✨🌙

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Shah Alam, this year’s Raya celebration was truly special a beautiful reflection of unity, diversity, and fellowship.

We were honoured to be graced by our District Governor Elect, Rajj Malabram, alongside participation from 5 Rotary clubs. Close to 30 Rotarians and friends came together, filling the evening with laughter, singing, dancing, and meaningful connections.

And of course… the highlight! 🍽️
A delightful spread of traditional Malay cuisine — rendang, ketupat, and so much more. Truly a feast to remember!

We are also proud to announce the induction of our newest member, Encik Hamzah. Welcome aboard! Your presence marks another step forward in embracing inclusiveness and diversity within our club.

As shared by President Dr Vinoth during his installation, this year’s theme 'Unity in Diversit' came to life making this our first Raya celebration of its kind in club history, with greater Malay representation and stronger bonds across cultures.

Together, we continue to Unite for Good and live by the spirit of Service Above Self. 🤝
