A LIFE OF SERVICE. A LEGACY OF COMPASSION.

PRactitioners joins Malaysians in mourning the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, who passed away today at the age of 100.

Her century-long life reflected a Malaysia that changed and grew, and her contributions will remain part of that story.

PRactitioners extends our deepest condolences to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the entire Tun Mahathir family.

May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy of service continue to inspire generations to come.

Building stronger connections between academia, industry and the media in the South.

PRActitioners recently convened the inaugural Southern Region PR Forum planning meeting at MDIS Johor Bahru, bringing together university representatives, students and industry stakeholders as we lay the groundwork for the upcoming Southern Region PR Forum 2026.

The engagement also extended to members of the media, whose support and partnership will play an important role in strengthening the reach and impact of the initiative.

More than an event, the Forum aims to create a meaningful platform for industry–academia collaboration, student participation, knowledge exchange and stronger connections within the communications community.

We look forward to bringing the Southern Region PR Forum to life in late October / early November 2026.
The conversations have begun. The partnerships are taking shape. More to come.

The opening set the tone for a meaningful day of learning, collaboration, and recognising the invaluable contributions of the public relations profession. The event commenced with the Opening Ceremony, featuring welcoming addresses by Professor Dr Neethiah Ari Ragavan and Datuk P. Kamalanathan, before being officially declared open by our Guest of Honour, YB Dato’ Sri Dr Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob.

In conjunction with the 2nd anniversary of PRactitioners Malaysia, a special cake-cutting ceremony was also held to commemorate the Society’s journey, celebrate its achievements, and honour the members, partners, and volunteers whose unwavering support has contributed to its continued growth and success. The celebration marked an important milestone as PRactitioners Malaysia continues its mission of advancing the public relations profession and nurturing the next generation of communication leaders.
