SBS was founded on 26th April 1990 and has organized countless events related to Dharma and Buddhist meditation, which includes weekly chanting, dharma classes and talks by monks and layman speakers, one day trip to temple, Buddhist camp, social events, and many more. Althou

☸️ Dharma Talk: 21st Century and Buddhism ☸️

🪷 Join us for a Dharma talk with His Eminence the 14th Zangling Rinpoche, Tulku Jigmey Tenpai Gyaltsen, and the Sangha members from GRL Monastery, Bomdila, Anurachal Pradesh! 🇮🇳

☸️ In this Dharma Talk, we will address and explore the theme of how humans can apply and utilise the Buddha's teachings effectively in this day and age, where humans have witnessed and experienced an increase in violence throughout the world, as well as the rapid advancement of technology in the 21st Century.

Light refreshments will be provided as well! 🍿

𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵

✨ A month ago, Sunway University Buddhist Society (SBS) had the unique opportunity to host monastics from Plum Village, alongside the School of Psychology and Sunway Centre for Planetary Health.

🎶 Through song, participants learnt to appreciate the beauty of silence and to observe mindful practices.

🌎 In the talk by Br. Ky Ngo and Dr. Wee Liam from Monash University, concepts of the Buddha's teachings and psychology were utilised to discuss about planetary health, sustainability, as well as interesting discussions like the carbon footprint of a Buddhist monk.

💕 We would like to thank the organising committee from various parties for the meticulous planning and making this event a possibility, as well as participants for actively participating in the event!
