The MITBA Friendly Pickleball Tournament 2026 brought together our members for an exciting day of friendly competition, teamwork, networking, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to all participants and our deserving winners! Your enthusiasm and camaraderie made this event a memorable success.

Today, MITBA, represented by its Chairman and CEO, held a constructive meeting with Dewan Asuransi Indonesia (DAI), represented by its Chairman, Bapak Yulius Bhayangkara, and the Asosiasi Asuransi Syariah Indonesia (AASI), represented by its Chairman, Bapak Fauzi Arfan.

The meeting focused on fostering collaboration between the respective associations in Malaysia and Indonesia to enhance the understanding and development of Shariah and Takaful. Discussions covered the sharing of technical knowledge, best practices, and guidelines to strengthen industry standards and promote greater consistency in the application of Shariah principles within the Takaful sector.

Both parties also agreed to establish a joint working committee to further explore the challenges faced by both countries in relation to Shariah and Takaful. The committee will develop collaborative initiatives, facilitate ongoing knowledge exchange, and expand engagement with other ASEAN associations to promote regional cooperation and the continued growth of the Islamic insurance industry.

We look forward to strengthening this partnership and working together towards a more resilient and progressive Takaful ecosystem across the ASEAN region.

The second day of the MITBA Masterclass on Fire Takaful Risk Survey Training brought learning into practice through Fire Protection Systems, FEA Calculations, Practical Fire Risk Survey Exercises, and Group Presentations of Survey Findings & Risk Summaries. Participants gained hands-on experience in assessing risks, evaluating fire protection measures, and presenting professional underwriting recommendations.

Thank you to all participants, our knowledge partner Takaful Ikhlas, and speaker Muhammad Khairi Che Hassim for making this programme a meaningful and impactful learning journey.

Together, we continue to strengthen technical excellence, enhance risk management practices, and raise professional standards within the insurance and takaful broking industry.

Today marks the commencement of the MITBA Masterclass Series on Fire Takaful Risk Survey Training, bringing together insurance and takaful professionals committed to strengthening their technical expertise in property and industrial risk assessment.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dato' Shazme Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of MITBA, highlighted the growing importance of technical competency in today's broking landscape, where clients increasingly expect brokers to provide deeper risk insights and value-added advisory services beyond policy placement.

Over the next two days, participants will gain practical knowledge and hands-on exposure to fire risk surveying, hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, fire protection systems, and underwriting considerations that are essential for better risk evaluation and presentation.
