On 2 April 2026, REHDA's ESG Committee led by its Chairperson Ms Teo Chui Ping attended an engagement session with Malaysia Carbon Market Association's (MCMA), Dr Renard Siew and his team. The session took place at Yinson Holdings Berhad's office.

The discussion provided valuable insights into the evolving carbon market ecosystem—both at the domestic and ASEAN level, including developments under the ASEAN Common Carbon Framework (ACCF), carbon exchange dynamics and the growing importance of high-integrity carbon credits. Among the highlights is to enhance industry awareness and capacity building on carbon markets, exploring carbon aggregation models for buildings, particularly through retrofitting initiatives, and understanding technical requirements and methodologies to ensure project viability and credibility.

REHDA look forward to strengthening our collaboration with MCMA in the future.
