* 🀝 Humanitarian Effort: Trash collection and improving the cleanliness of the river

πŸ’‘ Special thanks to SITA for sponsoring USD500 and to our Zone Chair for contributing mineral waterβ€”making this a zero-expense project for participating clubs.

One of the highlights of the day was definitely the mudball activity β€” fun, engaging, and educational! It was amazing to see everyone enjoying the process of making and throwing mudballs while learning how they help improve water quality 🌊

🀝 Future CSR Collaboration with SITA
SITA’s Corporate HR is exploring potential CSR initiatives aligned with their direction to organize an Environment Day in conjunction with Earth Day for their KL Office. This opens up great opportunities for collaboration, where Lions can support with manpower and project organization, while the company contributes funding and volunteers on the project day itself.

🌏 Carbon Footprint Awareness
While river cleaning may not directly reduce carbon emissions, it plays an important role in preventing pollution, restoring ecosystems, and supporting long-term environmental sustainability. These efforts contribute indirectly to carbon mitigation and align well with broader CSR and ESG goals.

Together, we proved that doing good for the environment can be both meaningful and fun. Let’s continue to serve and make a difference! πŸ’ͺ🌱
