We’re proud to share this moment as we celebrate our OA LEADs who received their SPM results back in March ❤

More than the results, we recognise the journey it took to get here. The effort, the ups and downs, and the courage to keep going!

Along the way, many have stepped forward as part of a new generation, growing in their awareness of what it means to give back to their communities, learning, and moving forward together. That spirit matters just as much!

Each of you has your own path, and this is just one step along the way. We look forward to what comes next.

Keep going everyone!❤

We were honoured to share the stage with fellow grantees, Persatuan Aktivis Sahabat Alam (KUASA), Reef Check Malaysia, and Engineers Without Borders Malaysia.

The session brought together grounded perspectives on working with remote and Indigenous communities, and how climate adaptation is shaped through local realities, not just frameworks.

For us, syntropic farming sits within that space. It is a way of restoring land while building livelihoods, guided by how natural systems grow and regenerate.

Over time, the land becomes more fertile + diverse, and more able to support the people who depend on it.

It is not a quick solution, but a steady process of rebuilding, where both the land and the community grow stronger together.

Grateful for the space to share and learn alongside others working towards the same goal!

Shoutout to our LP271 team!

A huge turnout this time, and our special thanks to the 45 volunteers who spent two days with us lighting up both kampungs!

What we worked on comes from the daily realities in the village. When night falls, the surroundings get very dark making it harder to move around, especially for those heading to the washroom at night.

The existing toilets, built by the community themselves, have served their purpose and this was a chance for us to improve safety, and hygiene together

So over the two days, we refurbished the washrooms, installed solar street lights, supported home solar setups, and carried out WASH training!

A full two days, many hands, and a lot made possible together. Swipe through to see the hard and heart work!

Our 3rd workshop brings even more excitement!

In the first week, we focused on getting to know the community, taking time to listen, engage, observe, and understand the people and environment around us.

The second week went a step deeper, where we began mapping out key education challenges and learning how to see issues more clearly.

Now in week three, the focus shifts to action. This is where ideas start to take shape into something practical, something that can truly benefit the community.

Can’t wait to share what’s coming next!

Some of the best ideas don’t start in meetings, they start in the kitchen!

And we’re super excited to share our new community kitchen with everyone.

We had a really good time there during our Jaringan Akar session with the Amai Amai, officially opening the space and getting ideas and conversations flowing.

Very happy to also have Jennifer Kuah visiting us and sharing on herbal tea product development.

We’re really grateful to volunteers who made the trip all the way to Kg Bukit Serok Lama to join hands with us on the washroom and water tank installation!

It was all about showing up, and making things happen together and we definitely had fun along the way.

We installed the water pipes, connected the toilets and sinks to the main source, fixed the toilet door, refreshed the washroom with a new coat of paint, added solar lighting, and finally brought it all together by connecting the water source to the tank!

Sounds fun? It really was! Swipe through to catch some of the highlights of the day!

Do you remember your school trips back then? Something you’ve always carried with you?

As cool as the cover photo looks, we had an amazing 3 days, 2 nights in Melaka!

We met the animals at A’Famosa Safari Wonderland, explored 6 museums! Wohoo!Muzium Istana Kesultanan Melaka, Muzium Sejarah, Muzium Ethnografi, Muzium Pendidikan, Muzium Sastera, and Muzium TYT Negeri Melaka, visited the Shore Oceanarium, and even dropped by the Melaka Bee Gallery where we saw the bees and tasted the honey.

A lot of firsts, a lot of questions, and a lot of moments in between! on the bus, walking from one place to another, and pretty much enjoying and taking it all in.

Not everything comes from books, and this was one of those trips where you just have to be there to feel it.

Swipe through to catch some of the fun moments.

Our first OA LEAD workshop, (with participants from Rompin and Muadzam) was all about going back to our roots and sharing with our young minds what community development really means and how each of us has a part to play in building it together ❤️

Catch a glimpse of the day in this video!

We learned about village mapping, building rapport, and how to work hand in hand with our community to create sustainable long term changes. And most importantly, we had fun learning together along the way!
