Welcome to our FB page! What started as an Interest Group has now officially evolved into the Rotary Club of Damansara Heights ( RCDH). The club was founded on 13th January 2017. Meetings are held at 7pm on alternate Tuesdays at the Royal Commonwealth Society in Damansara Heights, KL. How did it all start? In October 2016, four Rotarians got together & called on some friends to assist an NGO with

their annual Xmas charity event. As a result, an Interest Group was formed and after a few meetings, the young (and young at heart) got together at short notice to assist the NGO during the event held at the Berjaya Times Square in Dec 2016. The Xmas Cheer had orphans, senior citizens & physically challenged participants from all races & religion. It was truly a fun filled “ Muhibah” event. To date, the Club is made up of 28 fun-loving members from various backgrounds & industries. We share a common objective that is to make a positive impact to communities in need, with the hope of leaving a sustainable legacy! RCDH looks forward to hearing from you to explore working together in meeting our local community needs. 1st October 2025 - District Governor's Visit

RCDH welcomed District Governor Edward Khoo for his official visit to the Club. For the first time, it was a joint meeting and we had the honour of hosting 2 other clubs - RC E-Club One KL
and RC Metro KL. As explained by DG Edward, the joint Club session is a concept mooted by Rotary International for Clubs to get to know one another.

The session went well and included more than 50 Rotarians present in person and more from the E-Club joining in via zoom.

Besides the regular meeting and DG’s address, there was also a new member induction for RC Metro KL , a membership award for a club member of Rotary E Club One KL and packing of Deepavali groceries and goody bags under our Club’s Kitchen Bundle Project.

Club Meeting & AG Evonne Lim's visit on 2nd Sept 2025:

It was a night of service, learning, and friendship.

Our club gathered at a new venue, Chapatti.com for a meaningful evening with AG Evonne Lim and PAG Gordon Vong. We packed kitchen bundles, planned our upcoming festive outreach, and shared ideas for fellowships and projects ahead.

We thank AG Evonne for her inspiring talk on financial literacy and appreciate all the words of support & encouragement from her.

As usual, during the week ahead, Club members took time out to deliver the groceries and to check on the well-being of these families.

Shout out to chappati.com , for the wonderful venue for our club meeting and for the awesome & tasty food, which everyone enjoyed.

Finally, a warm farewell to Rtn Gurmin as she soon begins a new chapter in Dubai. We, as a club will miss you and wish you & family much happiness in your new adventure in the years ahead.

2nd Aug 2025: A New Chapter for RC Damansara Heights

We are pleased to share that Dr. Ramon Varughese has been installed as President of the Rotary Club of Damansara Heights for Rotary Year 2025/26, together with his dedicated Board. Surrounded by his family, friends, and First Lady Manju, it was a truly memorable evening for our Club.

We were especially honoured by the presence of YB Hannah Yeoh and Mr. Ramachandran, who joined us to witness this special occasion.

This update comes a little later than usual, as we recently bid farewell to our dear Charter Member Ms. Padmini, who was part of our newly formed Board. Her legacy of service and love for Rotary will continue to inspire us as we move forward.

With Dr. Ramon at the helm, we look forward to a year of passion-driven service, with love at the heart of all we do.

Together, let us Unite for Good.

Fellow Rotarians & friends of Rc Damansara Heights,

We are saddened to inform the sudden passing of our beloved Charter member Ms. Padmini S. Packirisamy.

She was a dedicated and integral member of the Rotary Club of Damansara Heights, holding a key position as Community Service Director, which she upheld diligently following Rotary values.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by everyone at RCDH.

Our condolences and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Introducing Our President for Rotary Year 2025/26 –
Dr. Ramon!

We’re proud to welcome Dr. Ramon Varughese as the President of the Rotary Club of Damansara Heights — who has already hit the ground running!

Dr. Ramon is a hands-on leader with a heart for service and a vision to build a united and compassionate Rotary family, bound by fellowship and purpose, and focused on making meaningful change in the lives of those who need it most.

His vision is simple but powerful:
"To build a united and compassionate Rotary family, bound by fellowship and purpose, dedicated to creating meaningful change in the lives of the less fortunate."

And his mission for the year ahead is something we can all stand behind:
"To strengthen the bonds among our members through deeper fellowship, mutual respect, and shared values — so that together, we are empowered to serve with greater impact, uplift the underprivileged, and embody the true spirit of Rotary: 'Service Above Self.'"

His guiding theme — “Stronger Together, Serving with Heart” — reminds us that Rotary is not just about doing good, but about doing it together, as a family.

With Dr. Ramon’s passion, leadership, and drive, we’re excited for what’s to come — and we know this Rotary year will be one filled with purpose, unity, and heart.

Dr. Ramon’s official installation ceremony will be held on Saturday, 2 August 2025. We still have some seats available for the night..

The evening will begin with formalities and the installation ceremony, followed by a fun-filled celebration featuring live music by Jeremy Danker (on guitar/vocals) & friends — including a saxophonist and percussionist to keep the vibes high and the night unforgettable!
