It organises many programmes that impacts Buddhist communities within the country as well as internationally. BGF also organises camps for undergraduates, trains leaders and executives to speak effectively in public, runs courses on counselling skills, and conducts training courses for Dhamma speakers. It runs weekly meditation sessions and organises talks and public forums by local and international Dhamma speakers. Its innovative programmes and approaches are/have been adopted by other groups within as well as outside the country. Many of its early members have pioneered the formation of other Buddhist societies in the country. *Synopsis:*
During this 2 days Yuthok Healing Retreat, participants will be taught the 8 parts of the Yuthok Healing Yoga, understanding of their body constitution, Dream Yoga, Long-life breathing yoga, how to manage their emotions, taught new practices of Yuthok Healing Yoga as well as meditation and chanting of the Medicine Buddha Sutra.

*Speakers Profile:*
Venerable Dr. Geshe Jigmey Rapten obtained his Tibetan Medicine Practitioner qualifications from the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine in 2012 and a monastic Geshe degree from the Drepung Losel Ling Monastery, South India in 2016. Since then, Ven has been actively teaching Yuthok Nyingthig to many students and the public in certain countries. During the Covid19 pandemic, Ven Dr Jigmey served as a Physician of the Tibetan System of Medicine at Drepung Losel Ling Monastery Hospital.

*Speaker Profile:*
Bhante Ayagama Siri Yassasi obtained his PhD from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in 2020, MA in PALI from the Buddhist & Pali University Sri Lanka in 2012 and BA First Class Hons from University of Kelaniya in 2008. Since 2013, he has been a lecturing Diploma & MA students at the Malaysian Buddhist Academy in KL. He has also been a Visiting Lecturer teaching Pali,Sinhala and English in the University of Kelaniya since 2009. Bhante Yassasi has written many research publications and has been very active in training individualis who participate in the Novitiate Programs.
Currently, he is the Abbot of Dhamma Vijaya Sati Vihara, Ara Damansara where he regularly conduct Dhamma talks, guided meditation sessions and community teachings.

This September, Buddhist Gem Fellowship warmly invites all men aged 18 and above to join our Pabbajjā (Novitiate Programme) , held in conjunction with the 2026 Vassa Rainy Retreat.
For 8 days and 7 nights, you'll shave your hair, wear the saffron robe, practise meditation, learn the Dhamma, go on Pindacāra (alms round), and experience the daily life of a Buddhist monk under the guidance of experienced monastics.

Bro Benny Liow is the editor of Eastern Horizon. He was the Editorial Consultant and contributor to the "Religions and Beliefs" volume of The Encyclopedia of Malaysia. His writings have appeared in various local and international journals and publications and he has edited nine books on Buddhism. Speakers Profile:
Sis Sylvia Bay has dedicated herself to the study and practice of the Buddha’s teachings since 1992. She holds a BA (Hons) in Buddhist Studies from the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka, and was a lecturer with her alma mater. She also has a Masters in International Public Policy from John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Since 2001, Sis Sylvia has been a regular speaker on Buddhist doctrines and their practical applications at local and regional Buddhist organizations. In 2013, she published her first book “Between the Lines: An Analytical Appreciation of the Buddha’s Life”. She is now working on another book titled “Towards the Light: The Buddha’s Guide to A Heavenly Rebir
