Yemen today is facing the biggest crisis of hunger and poverty
More than two million children in Yemen suffer from basic malnutrition. There are among those who have to eat tree leaves to continue this life. There are also many areas in Yemen that have been cut off from water supply for a very long time and badly. More than 24 million Yemenis are facing the worst famine in 100 years of history acc
ording to records recorded by the UN in June 2020 last year. As a result of Krissi hitting this too, many facilities such as hospitals were destroyed. As a result of this, many hospitals had to turn away a large number of patients who came to seek treatment. Among the affected hospitals is Taiz Hospital. Now the hospital is asking for help from Pertubuhan Yaman Kasih (PYK) to get help to avoid the closure of this hospital. A large number of hospitals there are also no longer able to pay salaries to their staff. The hospital is also no longer able to bear the cost of diesel to supply electricity to the hospital building. After several representatives from our team visited the hospitals there, we found that almost 90% of the children who came to Assuwaidi Hospital, Sanaa Hospital, and Al-Jadida Hospital were the result of severe basic malnutrition. The biggest contributor to Yemen so far, the United Nations (UN), said they were forced to stop aid to Yemen due to a lack of international funds due to the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world today. In addition, the people of Yemen are also faced with other chronic problems such as cholera, dengue fever and also Covid 19. We from Pertubuhan Yemen Kasih (PYK) also aim to provide as many water tanks as possible in all areas in need in Yemen. PYK is also the only NGO that distributes more than 420 water tanks in Yemen. In addition, we also provide educational assistance to Yemeni children such as funding registration costs and bearing the cost of expenses for orphans in need as well as providing basic needs for school such as buying bags and basic tools for school. We also repaired several school buildings that were destroyed by the bombing a few years ago. Click on this link

In addition, we also held an adoption mission for orphans in Yemen. More than 500 Yemeni orphans have been sponsored in several areas in Yemen such as Taiz, Hudaidah, Aden, Sana'a. This is nothing but to bring back smiles on the faces of orphans who have been sad all this time due to the crisis that hit them. Click on the following link to view

Among the help that we deliver is, we also go to the field to care for the residents in shelter tents in Yemen. Their plight urged us to go there. Their camping area which is far in the interior is also one of the factors of difficulty for them to get humanitarian aid. In these tents, we also found many children starving to death. Almost two children for a period of one week according to our records. Among other help that we also provide is food basket help. PYK also does its best to deliver humanitarian aid in war zones that are in war zones. Click on this link to view
