Sesi yang dipengerusikan oleh YBrs. Encik See Chee Kong, Pengarah Kanan Bahagian Pembangunan Sektor Perkhidmatan (SSDD) membincangkan kemajuan Pelan Pelaksanaan Dasar (PPD) bagi tahun 2022 serta isu dan cabaran yang dihadapi oleh industri Perkhidmatan Profesional.

Industri perkhidmatan profesional memfokuskan inisiatif di bawah RMKe-12 di dalam Bab 2: Mengembalikan Semula Momentum Pertumbuhan bagi Industri Perkhidmatan Profesional. Terdapat tiga bidang keutamaan yang dibincangkan iaitu Bidang Keutamaan A: Melonjakkan Pertumbuhan Produktiviti, Bidang Keutamaan B: Memperluas Pasaran Eksport; dan Bidang Keutamaan E: Menambah Baik Dasar dan Tadbir Urus.

The discussion focused on the overall processes in conducting the pilot project for legal firms. The project, which involve 20 Legal firms in peninsular Malaysia, will undergo the technology assessment and Gemba to identify the level of technology utilisation before proceeding with recommendations & process innovation by the technology expert.

The session discussed on the focus groups for Legal and Engineering services in developing the Industry Digital Roadmap for both fraternities. Several professionals, firms and associations have been identified to collect information required for the Digital Roadmap and it will be carried out through collaboration with the Malaysia Service Providers Confederation (MSPC).

The session was held following the Business Matching and Fact-finding Mission to Timor Leste last August 2022. Timorese professionals from Don Bosco Training Centre and Don Bosco Technical and Vocational School of Timor Leste attended to gained exposures and shared knowledge from the industry. The session agreed for both parties to have a long-term collaboration between the company and the counterparts through the MoU signing ceremony which is planned to be held soon.

The discussion focused on future collaborations between Malaysian Diaspora and professionals from Malaysia in creating new opportunities for market expansion. The Malaysian Diaspora is looking forward to receiving more Malaysian professionals to enter the Timorese market as the country is focusing on new dimension in developing all sectors after its independence.

Professional Services Productivity Nexus Champion representing Malaysia Service Providers Confederation (MSPC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Timor Leste National Women Association. The MoU focused on empowering women contributions on business and professional services in Timor Leste.

The meeting focused on the initiative to link the Chamber with engineering industries in Malaysia thorugh partnership in supporting the local engineering sector. This is a gateway to the local engineers for market expansion. The meeting also agreed to provide internship programme for local engineering students to Malaysian professional companies.
