Kiwanis Malaysia Academy Celebrates the 5th Special Education Needs Symposium – ASEAN Edition with a full house right till the end of the event !!!
********************************************************

Watch the full event round-up and celebrate this inspiring movement toward a truly inclusive ASEAN!

Kiwanis Malaysia Academy is delighted to announce the success of the 5th Special Education Needs Symposium, now proudly elevated as an ASEAN Edition, marking another powerful milestone in our mission to build an inclusive and empowered community.

The event opened with warm welcome remarks by Rani Wemel, Organizing Chair, followed by Dato' Stewart, Chairman of the Kiwanis Khir Johari Foundation, Together, they set the tone for a day that was more than an event — it was a movement powered by educators, families, professionals, and advocates united in helping every child with special needs thrive.

The symposium was officiated by Senator Isaiah D. Jacob, Head of the Persons with Disabilities Bureau Malaysia and Chair of the Commonwealth People with Disabilities (2025–2028).
He reminded us that people with special needs should never be viewed through the lens of pity, but through pathways of opportunity, dignity, and meaningful contribution. He proudly described himself not as Orang Kurang Upaya but Orang Kuat Upaya — a Strong-Ability Person — highlighting the inherent dignity and strength within every individual.
