A difficult but important read.

A ceasefire should mean more than simply a pause in fighting.

Some things deserve to be remembered.

Former U.S. officials are now expressing regret over how Gaza was handled. But regret after the destruction, deaths and suffering does not erase the decisions made while they were in power.

The warnings were there. The power to apply pressure was there.
