REHDA Selangor is honoured to receive the Anugerah Sinergi Strategik (Kategori Swasta) from Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor (LPHS) at Malam Aspirasi Perumahan 2026, held on 12 October 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City.

This recognition acknowledges REHDA Selangor's commitment and strategic collaboration in supporting the development and advancement of Selangor's housing sector, reflecting the value of sustained cooperation between government agencies and the property development industry.

Earlier in the day, REHDA Selangor also attended the Simposium Perumahan Negeri-Negeri Se-Malaysia 2026, which brought together housing stakeholders to exchange perspectives on housing accessibility, national housing policies, digital transformation and innovative approaches to housing delivery.

We extend our sincere appreciation to LPHS for this meaningful honour. Beyond the recognition, it reinforces our resolve to strengthen public-private collaboration, serve as a constructive voice for the industry and contribute towards a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient housing future for Selangor.

🤖 Exploring AI for Smarter Planning and Construction Delivery

REHDA Selangor continued its Insights Mini Series with a session focused on AI for Smarter Planning & Construction Delivery, examining how artificial intelligence and digital tools can support planning, design and project delivery within the property development process.

The programme highlighted areas such as AI applications in masterplanning and construction delivery, as well as the use of digital twins to support planning, scenario testing and better-informed project decisions. These themes form part of REHDA Selangor’s wider effort to provide developers with practical exposure to emerging technologies across the property development value chain.

As digital adoption continues to evolve, the session provided a platform for industry learning, discussion and a better understanding of how AI can complement professional judgement and existing development processes.

🏙️ Exploring Integrated Development at KL Wellness City

On 23 September 2026, REHDA Selangor organised a Project Tour to KL Wellness City in Bukit Jalil, giving members first-hand exposure to an integrated healthcare and wellness development.

The visit offered insights into how healthcare, wellness, residential and urban planning elements are brought together within a connected development ecosystem, while providing members with practical industry exposure and opportunities for knowledge exchange.

REHDA Selangor will continue to facilitate learning opportunities that broaden industry perspectives on evolving property development approaches.

⚡ EV Charging Project Tour – Future-Proofing Properties with EV Charging Solutions

On 22 September 2026, REHDA Selangor organised the EV Charging Project Tour – Future-Proofing Properties with EV Charging Solutions, hosted by JomCharge.

The programme explored key considerations for property developers, including EV charging infrastructure, user behaviour, electrical capacity, smart charging management, planning requirements, safety, licensing and compliance.

The session also highlighted that EV charging involves more than simply installing chargers, with developers needing to consider parking strategy, electrical capacity, software, payment systems, maintenance and future expansion.

Participants later visited the JomCharge EV Charging Hub at XPark Sunway Serene for a closer look at high-power charging infrastructure and its practical application.

Through programmes such as this, REHDA Selangor continues to provide members with practical exposure to emerging infrastructure considerations affecting property development and the built environment.

🏠 REHDA Malaysia has proposed a targeted Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) under Budget 2027 for completed unsold residential units with a Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).

🏡 Rethinking What Makes a Home ‘Affordable’

Housing and Local Government Minister YB Nga Kor Ming has highlighted the need to reconsider how housing affordability is defined, noting that a single price benchmark may not reflect what households can afford across different locations.

According to The Star, KPKT is developing a policy using big data analytics to better price affordable housing based on region and income.

The discussion comes as the StarProperty Budget 2027 Roundtable Report also highlights factors affecting home ownership beyond purchase price, including financing accessibility and development-related costs.
