AI doesn't just chat with you. It does things for you.

Short & Sweet Toastmasters Club hosted a workshop showing members and guests how to turn AI into a true personal assistant. The session reflected the club's mission of building confidence in speaking, communication, and leadership, now sharpened for the AI era.

The speaker showed how to draft a speech, refine it for humour and impact, then generate scrollable notes to glance at on stage. He also demonstrated saving a whole workflow as a reusable skill, so the same process runs again with one prompt.

The takeaway was simple. Anyone can learn AI today, and the right skills to pair with it are storytelling, creativity, and critical thinking. Train your voice. Train your AI. Do both with us.

Two clubs, one stage, and an afternoon that left no heart untouched.

DTM Toastmasters Club and Short and Sweet Toastmasters Club came together for a joint meeting celebrating one truth: whether your journey is long or short, every step counts. Members gathered online and on-site to speak, evaluate, and grow.

Table Topics sparked raw, real conversations on leadership, optimism, and collaboration, with Michelle, Kimberly, and Chi Zhen each bringing their own lived experience to the stage.

Then Michelle delivered a project speech that moved the room to tears, sharing her courageous journey of rebuilding her voice and reminding us all that the hardest step is simply to begin.

Soo Ling then delivered a dual impromptu speech, weaving humor and heart through decades of IT encounters and the quiet joy of doing absolutely nothing.

A full panel of evaluators — Chi Zhen, Jessica, and DTM Lay Theng — dissected the craft in a lively moderated session guided by Kah Mun.

Short & Sweet Toastmasters Club hosted its first in a series of workshops, bringing together professionals eager to sharpen their digital edge. True to our mission of continuous growth, we went beyond public speaking this time.

Our past club president Kenny Lee, PM4 , an international digital content specialist walked us through the fast-evolving world of AI-driven search optimization. He explained how AI platforms are reshaping how people discover brands online, and what businesses can do to stay cited and visible in AI-generated results.

The room was buzzing with questions, from how to get started without a big budget, to whether AI-written content can help or hurt your discoverability.
