【 #旁编想想：老人最需要的，不只是更多活动，而是依然拥有意义】

当我们了解一间长者日间照护中心时，
不少人会关心：这里每天有什么活动？
但或许我们需要再往深一层思考：
这些活动，对长者来说有什么意义？

参访 Seniora Malaysia 日间照护中心槟城分行的时候，
正值中心的下午游戏时段，
老人们围坐在客厅，正在展开一场“体育竞技”：
将乒乓球投在地上，利用弹跳力进入蛋托，
分数最高者，就是 Seniora 的投球高手！🏆

然而，这场游戏的意义，并不只有简单的娱乐，
还锻炼长者的眼手协调能力，
并且投掷结束后，长者还要动脑计算自己的总分。
虽然这里的长者大部分有轻微失智，
但在工作人员的帮助和提示下，
都能给出正确答案。

和分行经理许秀云交流时，她指了指“贴堂”的手工，说：
“这些都是长者的作品。”
但真正重要的，并非这些作品如何精美，
而是它们所赋予老人的意义。

例如，配合国庆日，中心会安排长者以传统糕点来拼贴“摆盘”。
：我家以前很常做这个……
：可是我们家的制作步骤是……
：我们家没有放这个材料……

记忆与话题匣子，随着一场手工活动展开。
此时，长者不再只是坐在那里，等待别人安排活动。
他们可以回忆、表达，
也可以把自己故事分享给别人。

活动可以简单，但长者需要的，
不是被安排各种活动，然后纯粹打发时间，
而是到了人生的最后阶段，依然有机会参与。
