🏮✨❤️ Chap Goh Meh Celebrations 2026 ❤️✨🏮

It was truly a night filled with romance, culture, and celebration at the Chap Goh Meh festivities held at the Esplanade on the 15th and final night of the Lunar New Year of the Fiery Horse 🐎🧧🍊🎊.

The celebration began with a flag-off ceremony from the premises of the State Chinese Penang Association by Chief Minister of Penang's Wife, YABhg Puan Tan Lean Kee and YB Jagdeep Singh Deo 'Serving the People'. Participants then made their way in beautifully decorated floats and a bus, adding colour and vibrancy to the parade as we marked the grand finale of the Chinese New Year celebrations for 2026 🎆🧨.

It was a delightful sight to behold as our Babas and Nyonyas appeared elegantly dressed to the nines in a stunning array of traditional attire and colours, bringing the rich Peranakan heritage to life.

The evening was filled with warmth and camaraderie as home-grown talents 🎤🎶 entertained the crowd with nostalgic oldies that captivated audiences from all walks of life. While some enjoyed the performances of seasoned crooners singing and dancing the night away 💃🕺, others were mesmerised by cultural performances featuring traditional Peranakan dances .

An unforgettable night that celebrated tradition, unity, culture, and the vibrant multicultural spirit of our community 🧧🏮✨.

Annual Ancestral Prayers (Pai Kong Mah) Event

The State Chinese Penang Association recently held its annual Ancestral Prayers Ceremony, a meaningful tradition to honour and remember our forefathers for their sacrifices and contributions.

This solemn occasion reflects the importance of filial piety, unity, and preserving our rich cultural heritage for future generations. May their blessings continue to guide and protect us all.

We would like to thank all those who contributed offerings for prayers and the camaraderie shared amongst those who came together to observe the rituals.
