背后的故事：

看着手机屏幕上的调派通告：恭喜您！您被调派到沙白安南县。恭喜这俩字，对于这个城市长大念书的人而言，格外讽刺。
当下的我思绪混乱：我走了，母会的儿童佛学班怎么办？为什么打好的算盘就这么崩了？
泪水模糊视线，颤抖的手按下“发送”键到母会儿童佛学班的 Whatsapp 群：对不起，我没有福报继续在这里服务…
哭了一会儿，师姐来电。“别哭，你只是被派去别的地方罢了，几年后还会回来的。” “儿童班那边…”
“有我们呢。”
“我不想来到这种地方…”
“或许菩萨看见那地方需要你的精神，比起这里，那里的众生更需要你。”
菩萨千眼，能看见遥远那里的苦。
或许被调到遥远地区的你我都是菩萨的千手之一，去帮助当地的众生。

‘Out there, far away, you are needed more.’

Behind the story:
Looking at the transfer notice on my phone screen: Congratulations! You have been transferred to Sabak Bernam District. For someone who grew up and studied in the city, the word “congratulations” felt particularly ironic.
My mind was in turmoil. If I leave, what will happen to the children’s Buddhist class at my home society? Why did the plan I carefully laid out fall apart like this?
Tears blurred my vision. With trembling hands, I pressed the send button in the home society children’s Buddhist class WhatsApp group: I’m sorry, I don’t have the merit to continue serving here.
After crying for a while, a senior sister called. “Don’t cry,” she said. “You’re just being posted somewhere else. You’ll come back in a few years.”
“What about the children’s class?” “We’re here.”
“I don’t want to go to this kind of place.”
“Maybe the Bodhisattva sees that this place needs your spirit. Compared to here, the beings over there need you more.”
The Bodhisattva has a thousand eyes, able to see the suffering in distant places.
Perhaps those of us who are transferred to remote places are all one of the Bodhisattva’s thousand hands, going to help the beings there.

《耕耘文字田｜第一集：给游子的一句话》| Let’s Write! | Episode 1: A Sentence for the Wanderer

背后的故事：

去年冬天，我终于买到车票，回到多年未归的老家。拖着行李箱，直奔老街那家旧书店——它曾收留过我青春时期的无所事事。
招牌不见了。原址亮着刺眼的荧光粉，一杯奶茶卖二十八元。我愣在玻璃门外，手机忽然震动，母亲问：“到了吗？要不要去 XX 奶茶店坐坐？现在年轻人都在那里。”
那一刻，我荒谬地想笑。原来，在我拼命往宿舍贴褪色春联时，故乡早已自己动手，把记忆里的坐标一个个擦掉，换上时髦的陌生。
我站在童年的旧址上，像个真正的异乡人打开导航。原来，家乡也会老去、会搬迁、会学着在新时代流浪。我们都在时间的长途列车上，它往这头，我往那头。
所以，别怕乡愁无处安放。当我们都在漂泊，每次相遇，都是故乡。

‘In the years you've been away, your homeland has also been quietly practicing the art of wandering.’

Behind the story:
Last winter, I finally managed to buy a train ticket and returned to my hometown after years away. Dragging my suitcase, I headed straight to the old bookstore on the old street, the place that had once sheltered my idle youth.
The signboard was gone. In its place stood a glaring neon pink shop, selling milk tea for twenty-eight yuan a cup. I stood frozen outside the glass door when my phone buzzed. My mother asked, “Have you arrived? Want to go to that milk tea shop? That’s where all the young people go now.”
At that moment, I felt an absurd urge to laugh. So while I had been desperately taping faded Spring Festival couplets to my dorm wall, my hometown had quietly gone about erasing the landmarks of my memory, replacing them with something chic and unfamiliar.
Standing at the site of my childhood, I opened my navigation app like a true stranger. It turns out that hometowns, too, grow old, move away, and learn to wander in a new era. We’re both on the long train of time, it heading one way, me the other.
So don’t be afraid that nostalgia has nowhere to settle. When we’re both adrift, every reunion is a hometown.

有些人,已经走远,
远到只剩回忆能抵达。
那些来不及说出口的话,
那些错过的拥抱与告别,
是否仍在心里反复回响?
或许是一句遗憾,
或许是一句迟来的对不起,
又或是一句轻声的“你还好吗”。
我们想邀请你,写下那句“藏在心里的那句话”:
无论是思念、释怀,还是未完成的心愿。
再配上一段不超过 300 字的小故事,
把那段无法重来的情感,轻轻放下,或再次珍藏。

投稿须知
- 可多次投稿,最终入选作品以一句为准
- 必须原创,严禁抄袭
- 投稿一经提交,主办方有权用于评审、展示及出版
Some people have already gone far away,
so far that only memories can reach them.
The words left unsaid,
the hugs and goodbyes we never got to give—
do they still echo quietly in your heart?
Maybe it’s a regret,
maybe a belated “I’m sorry,”
or simply a soft, “How have you been?”
Write down that one sentence kept deep inside your heart—
whether it holds longing, letting go, or an unfinished wish.
Add a short story of no more than 300 words,
and let that once-unspoken feeling be gently released, or softly kept.

Submission Guidelines
• Multiple submissions are allowed; only one sentence will be selected for final inclusion
• Submissions must be original; plagiarism is strictly prohibited
• Once submitted, entries may be used by the organizers for judging, exhibition, and
publication
Send a sentence that carries love, warmth, and strength to wanderers far from home.
