🐴 **Year of the Horse Strength & Ramadhan Barakah!** 🌙

We are excited to share the latest updates from the **MEOA Monthly Bulletins**! As we move forward with "Resolve, Responsibility, and Ex*****on," your Association has been working hard to safeguard the interests of the plantation industry.

Here is a quick look at what we’ve been up to in our latest issues:

✅ **Labour & Workforce Updates:** We are actively engaging with the Ministry (KPK) regarding the proposed **TVET intake requirements** for foreign worker quotas, ensuring that local talent development remains commercially viable for estates. Plus, a vital reminder: the proposed KJRI employment contract is **NOT** recognized as Malaysian policy—members are advised not to sign unauthorized formats.

🚛 **Logistics Efficiency:** We’ve met with MITI to resolve inconsistencies in **palm oil tanker load capacities**, aiming to reduce transport costs and improve supply chain efficiency.

💰 **Replanting Financing:** To support the national 4% replanting target, we have initiated strategic talks with **UOA Bank, Alliance Bank, and RHB Bank** to explore accessible funding and sustainability-linked financing for our members.

🏛️ **High-Level Advocacy:** From briefing the **Prime Minister’s Office** on structural industry issues to welcoming our new Minister, **YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad**, MEOA is ensuring your voice is heard at the highest levels.

📢 Exciting Leadership Announcement from The Malaysian Estate Owners’ Association (MEOA)! 📢

We are proud to announce the appointment of Dato’ Norhaidi Che Dan as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This strategic decision was made by the council to provide the leadership necessary to address the mounting challenges currently facing our industry and our members.

A Rigorous Selection Process The search for our new CEO was exhaustive and highly competitive. Out of 577 applications received, a dedicated search committee narrowed the field to ten candidates, with three finalists reaching the final interview stage. The final panel—consisting of Mr. Jeffrey Ong, Dato’ Sri Dr. Nick Low, Mdm. Jacqueline Foo, Mr. Steven Chong, and Mr. Zachary Aman—unanimously recommended Dato’ Norhaidi for the role.
Expertise and Vision Dato’ Norhaidi brings a wealth of experience in policy development, negotiations, and business advisory. His primary mission will be to:
• Establish strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with policymakers to shape industry direction.
• Develop policies that ensure our members can conduct their businesses effectively.

Looking Ahead To hit the ground running, Dato’ Norhaidi will soon begin a series of engagement rounds with our senior members to gain a deep understanding of the association’s needs. He will also initiate discussions with other stakeholders to tackle the critical issues our members are currently navigating.
