He Heng Primary School, Taiwan – Visit 31st March & 1st April 2026
Two days that were truly meaningful. Our friendship started with a simple video call in April 2024, grew through constant calls and Christmas cards, and this year, in 2026, we finally met in person!
Despite differences in race, skin color, nationality, and language, we built a beautiful friendship and learned the true meaning of appreciation, kindness, and encouragement.
Day 1 – We got to know each other through creative art using recycled bottle caps.
Day 2 – We learned to write in Chinese, made lucky fans, and ended with colorful koinobori. Though two days felt so short, they were filled with laughter, learning, and connection.
A heartfelt thank you to He Heng Primary School for your love, dedication, and care. We hope you made wonderful memories and took something meaningful from our community.
Special thanks to Mr. Lawrence and Sally, volunteers from Hong Kong serving the Rohingya community in Johor. Your love and dedication touched not just the children but also the mothers. From teaching English and Math to helping moms create friendship bracelets and crochet, your patience and encouragement reminded us all: even when something feels hard, if we try step by step, we can do it—and help others grow too.
We hope this friendship continues to grow for many years to come. 💖
