🌿 October 4 — Feast of St. Francis of Assisi 🌿

He saw every creature as family. Let’s honor his spirit by protecting our forests — homes to 80% of Earth’s land species.

💚 Stop deforestation.
🌱 Reforest with native, biodiverse species.
🚫 Avoid monoculture plantations.

Together, we can care for creation as St. Francis did

REGENERATE HOPE for LAND ECOSYSTEM

🌿✨ Redesign & Regenerate Your Space ✨🌿

Imagine transforming the places you live, work, and worship into green sanctuaries of life and hope. By planting local species in and around your home, workplace, and parish, we can restore balance to our land ecosystems.

Choose a corner: Dedicate as your starting green space.

Make it visible: Ensure it’s somewhere you naturally pass by or spend time, so the greenery becomes part of your daily rhythm.

Let it grow: Add to it gradually, allowing the space to evolve into a calming, natural focal point without rushing.

🌱 Why it matters:

Local plants thrive naturally and support biodiversity.

Green spaces cool our towns and cities.

Watch as life flourishes and hope regenerates.

"Together, we create healthier, more resilient communities"

Yes! Water is precious! Every drop counts !
After a long while of dry and hot days, finally it rained quite heavily for quite a while !

did you harvest the rain? I did!

Rainfall and precipitation are essential parts of the hydrologic cycle, moving water between the atmosphere, land, rivers, lakes, and groundwater.

Precipitation includes all forms of water that fall from the atmosphere, such as rain, snow, sleet, and hail. It occurs when water v***r rises, cools, condenses into clouds, and eventually falls to the Earth’s surface.

After rainfall reaches the ground, some water becomes surface runoff, some infiltrates the soil and recharges groundwater, and some returns to the atmosphere through ev***ration and plant transpiration.

Rainfall provides water for agriculture, ecosystems, rivers, groundwater, and human needs. However, excessive rainfall can cause flooding and erosion, while insufficient rainfall can lead to drought and water shortages.

Understanding precipitation is essential for engineers when designing drainage systems, dams, reservoirs, and flood-control structures.

Every drop countsprotect the water cycle, protect life.

Month of September is MICROPLASTICS AWARENESS MONTH!
Do you know that bottled water has more microplastics than tap water !

Action:
1. Bring your own filtered water
2. Stop using single use plastics too- it degrades into microplastic via a process called oxodegradation

People Who Drink Bottled Water Daily May Swallow an Extra 90,000 Microplastic Particles Per Year
Sunlight, heat, and squeezing release fragments directly into the water.
A review of 140 studies found the average person already ingests up to 52,000 particles annually through food. Bottled water nearly triples that number. Chronic exposure may contribute to hormonal disruption, inflammation, and organ damage.
